Description
本発明者らは、ペットフードにおいて、玄米の含有成分を生かし、かつ、他の蛋白や小麦粉等と組み合わせて、嗜好性を減ずることなく、かつ容易に製造し得るべく、鋭意検討した結果、従来では玄米を粉末化して利用していたところ、粉末工程を省き、玄米を焙煎処理し、該焙煎処理した玄米を中心核にし、この中心核の周囲を、動物性蛋白及び小麦粉を含む外殻とすることで、外殻に種々の風味成分を層状に形成したペットフードが得られることを見いだし、本発明を完成するに至った。
籾殻を有する米を精米し、玄米を得る。玄米4kgを水に30〜90分浸漬し、130℃で、40分乾燥した。乾燥後、玄米を焙煎機に供給して300℃で焙煎し、玄米の色を見ながら、焦げない程度に香ばしい匂いが出てきたら加熱を止め、50℃に冷却し、さらに室温となるように放冷した。一定の顆粒を得るため、篩にかけた。
焙煎処理し、一定の粒度を有する玄米1.5kgを加熱装置が付いたパン(鍋)に投入し、800gの砂糖水(バインダー液50℃、60%濃度,以下同じ)を振りかけながら撹拌し、焙煎玄米の表面に砂糖を付着させた。次に、小麦粉(薄力粉)2kgを振りかけながら撹拌して、小麦粉を焙煎玄米の表面に付着させた。小麦粉の表面に再び砂糖水800gを振りかけて撹拌して、砂糖水を付着させた。次に、混合粉(小麦粉60%、寒梅粉10%、ホタテ30%)2kgを振りかけて表面に付着させた。さらに、砂糖水800gを振りかけながら撹拌して、砂糖水を付着させた。次いで、かつお節粉3kgを振りかけながら撹拌して表面に付着させた。次に砂糖水800gを振りかけながら撹拌して砂糖水を付着させた後、表面に混合粉(小麦粉50%、嗜好物質50%)4kgを付着させた。次に篩にかけて、未付着の粉体を除去した後、180℃で15分焼成した。焼成後、室温まで放冷し、放冷後顆粒を一定の目の篩にかけて選別して、4層構造の6.7×8.6mmの長球状の猫用ペットフード14.5kgを製造した。
Claims (4)
- 玄米粒を含む中心核と、この中心核の周囲を覆い、動物性蛋白及び小麦粉を主成分とする外殻とを有することを特徴とするペットフード。
- 玄米粒が、焙煎処理された玄米粒であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のペットフード。
- 中心核が、5〜10質量%であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のペットフード。
- 外殻が、バインダーを用いて多層に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか記載のペットフード。
