Description
本稿における説明の流れは次の通りである。まず、図1及び図2を参照しながら、本発明の各実施形態に係る外装部材を用いて形成される電子機器筐体の外観構成について説明する。次いで、図3〜図5を参照しながら、本発明の第1実施形態に係る外装部材の構成について説明する。次いで、図6を参照しながら、同実施形態に係る外装部材の製造方法について説明する。次いで、図7を参照しながら、本発明の第2実施形態に係る外装部材の構成について説明する。次いで、図8を参照しながら、同実施形態に係る外装部材の製造方法について説明する。

まず、図1を参照しながら、本発明の各実施形態に係る外装部材を用いて形成される電子機器筐体1について、ノート型PCを例にとって説明する。図1は、同実施形態に係る外装部材を有する電子機器の一例としてノート型PCを示す説明図である。
<2−1.第1実施形態に係る外装部材100の構造について>
続いて、図3及び図4を参照しながら、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る外装部材100の構成について詳細に説明する。図3は、同実施形態に係る外装部材100の構成を示す断面図である。図4は、外装部材100の外観構成を示す平面図及び構成を示す断面図である。ここで、図3及び図4に示すX方向とは、外装部材100が積層される厚み方向と垂直な方向を指す。図3及び図4に示すY方向とは、外装部材100が積層される厚み方向と垂直であり、上記X方向と直行する方向を指す。また、図3及び図4に示すZ方向とは、外装部材100が積層される厚み方向を指す。なお、後述する図5〜図8における、X方向、Y方向、及びZ方向も図3及び図4に示すX方向、Y方向、及びZ方向と実質的に同一であるため、以下では説明を省略する。
塗装層146の光学特性の変化と、塗装層156の光学特性の変化とが重畳されたものとして、ユーザの目には認識される。一方、光透過層108側から外装部材100を見た場合に、マーキング部170は、光学特性が変化していない塗装層146そのものと、塗装層156の光学特性の変化とが重畳されたものとして、ユーザの目には認識される。従って、マーキング部160とマーキング部170とは、ユーザの目に濃淡や色合い等が異なったものとして認識される。このように、マーキング部160やマーキング部170等が形成されることで、外装部材100の表面に、より繊細で複雑なデザインを施される。
続いて、図6を参照しながら、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る外装部材100の製造方法について説明する。図6は、外装部材100の製造方法を示す説明図である。
<3−1.第2実施形態に係る外装部材200の内部構成について>
次に、図7を参照しながら、本発明の第2の実施形態に係る外装部材200の構成について詳細に説明する。外装部材200は、基板104上に、塗装層106と、無機物層112と、光透過層108とが積層された構造を有する。なお、無機物層112は、本実施形態に係る第3の層の一例である。
続いて、本発明の第2実施形態に係る外装部材200の製造方法について説明する。図8は、外装部材200の製造方法を示す説明図である。

Claims (6)
- 基板の表面に形成され、互いに異なる塗料含有物を含む複数の塗装層からなる第1の層と、
前記第1の層の表面に積層され、無機材料を含む第3の層と、
前記第3の層の表面に積層され、前記塗料含有物の光学特性を変化させることが可能な波長の光が透過可能な材料を含む第2の層と、を備え、
前記第1の層は、当該第2の層の少なくとも一部に前記波長の光をレーザ照射することで前記塗料含有物の光学特性が変化した部分であるマーキング部を有し、
前記マーキング部の一部は、前記複数の塗装層にわたって形成される、外装部材。 - 前記無機材料は、金属、パール、マイカ又はガラスのうちの少なくとも何れか一つを含む、請求項1に記載の外装部材。
- 前記第1の層は、
第1の波長の光がレーザ照射されることにより形成される第1のマーキング部と、
