Claims (3)
- 車軸に嵌装されてこの車軸を回転可能に支持する転がり軸受と、前記転がり軸受の一端を密封する密封装置とを備え、
前記転がり軸受は、外輪、内輪、転動体とを有し、
前記密封装置は、前記外輪に対し軸方向延長線上に設けられた外輪側延長部材と、前記内輪に対し軸方向延長線上に設けられた内輪側延長部材と、外輪側延長部材の内周に設けられ内輪側延長部材に摺接して外輪側延長部材と内輪側延長部材間をシールするシール部材とを備え、前記外輪側延長部材は、前記シール部材が嵌合固定される中径部と、この中径部より小径の小径部とを前記外輪から先端に向けて順に有するとともに、中径部および小径部間に段部を有し、前記内輪側延長部材は、前記車軸に嵌装される円筒部と、この円筒部に対して半径方向外方へ突出した蓋部とからなり、蓋部に凹みを設け、この凹みに前記小径部を遊嵌させて外輪側延長部材と内輪側延長部材間の空間を外部と区画した軸受ユニットにおいて、
前記小径部の内周に環状の金属製の取付環を嵌合固定し、前記取付環は開口側を前記シール側に向けた断面コの字形の凹部に有し、この凹部に油吸収部材を前記シール側に向けた状態で固定し、前記凹みを大きくしてこの凹みに前記小径部および前記取付環を遊嵌させたことを特徴とする軸受ユニット。 - 請求項1に記載の軸受ユニットにおいて、前記油吸収部材は、前記転がり軸受の潤滑に使用されるグリースの油分を吸収し、ゲル化する油ゲル化剤であることを特徴とする軸受ユニット。
- 請求項1に記載の軸受ユニットにおいて、前記油吸収部材は、不織布であることを特徴とする軸受ユニット。
