Abstract
【解決手段】スリンガ12と、芯金10と、弾性シール部材11とよりなり、これらが組合わさって構成される密封装置9であって、上記スリンガ12は、嵌合円筒部12aと、該嵌合円筒部12aの一端部にその径方向に延出形成された鍔状部12bとよりなり、弾性シール部材11のシールリップ11a、11bは、上記スリンガ12における鍔状部12bの内面に弾性摺接するアキシャルリップとされ、該アキシャルリップ11aの形成基部11eが、上記スリンガ12における嵌合円筒部12aの周面との間で、軸方向に沿った長さ範囲Lに亘り略一定の小間隙を以って互いに近接するラビリンスrを形成していることを特徴とする。

Claims (4)
- 相対的に同心回転する2部材の一方の部材に嵌合固定されるスリンガと、他方の部材に嵌合固定される芯金と、上記スリンガに弾性摺接するシールリップを備えて上記芯金に固着された弾性シール部材とよりなり、これらが組合わさって、上記2部材の間を密封するよう構成される密封装置であって、
上記スリンガは、上記一方の部材に嵌合される嵌合円筒部と、該嵌合円筒部の一端部にその径方向に延出形成された鍔状部とよりなり、上記シールリップは、上記スリンガにおける鍔状部の内面に弾性摺接するアキシャルリップとされ、該アキシャルリップの形成基部が、上記スリンガにおける嵌合円筒部の周面との間で、軸方向に沿った長さ範囲に亘り略一定の小間隙を以って互いに近接するラビリンスを形成していることを特徴とする密封装置。 - 請求項1に記載の密封装置において、
前記シールリップは、径方向に並設された複数のアキシャルリップからなり、これら複数のアキシャルリップの内、前記スリンガの嵌合円筒部側に位置するアキシャルリップの形成基部において前記ラビリンスが形成されていることを特徴とする密封装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の密封装置において、
前記スリンガにおける鍔状部の周縁部分が、前記嵌合円筒部側に屈折されたテーパー部とされ、前記弾性シール部材にはこのテーパー部の外面に弾性摺接するアウターリップが形成されていることを特徴とする密封装置。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の密封装置において、
前記一方の部材が回転側部材であり、他方の部材が固定側部材であることを特徴とする密封装置。
