上式において、IXは、結晶質領域中の強度であり、IAは、非晶質領域の強度である。
糸のサンプルを図1に示したシステムと類似したシステムで形成した。具体的に言うと、このシステムは、3つの温度ゾーンを備えた3/4インチで24:1の単一スクリュ押出し機、メルトポンプ及び溶融口金を備えたヘッド、2つのローダを収納した液体急冷タンク(長さ40インチ)、真空水除去システム、スピン仕上げ剤アプリケータ、3つの加熱ゴデットロール、通風式オーブン(長さ120インチ)、及びLeesona(登録商標)巻上げ機を有していた。
サンプルを小角X線散乱(SAXS)法により検討した。SAXSデータをアントン−パール(Anton-Paar)真空中でサンプルから105.45cmの距離のところに配置されたブルカー・エーエックスエス(Bruker AXS)(ウィスコンシン州メディソン所在)社のHi-Starマルチワイヤ検出器で収集した。X線(λ=0.154178nm)をマックサイエンス(MacScience)社の回転アノード(40kV、40mA)で発生させ、3つのピンホールに通して0.2mmのサイズに合焦させた。システム全体(発電機、検出器、ビーム経路、サンプルホルダ及びソフトウェア)は、ブルカー・エーエックスエス社から単一ユニットとして市販されている。検出器をベヘン酸銀(silver behenate)のサンプルを用いて製造業者の推奨に従って較正した。

- 前記糸は、150グラム/デニールより大きなモジュラスを有する、請求項1記載の溶融紡糸延伸マルチフィラメント糸。
- 前記糸は、7グラム/デニールより大きなテナシティを有する、請求項1記載の溶融紡糸延伸マルチフィラメント糸。
- 前記糸は、10%未満の伸び率を示す、請求項1記載の溶融紡糸延伸マルチフィラメント糸。
- 前記フィラメントのうちの少なくとも1本は、SAXS測定法によれば3.0より大きな子午線強度に対する赤道強度の比を有する、請求項1記載の溶融紡糸延伸マルチフィラメント糸。
