を用いて、(NMRによって測定される)エチレンのモル分率から計算することができ、この式中のαおよびβは、広い組成のランダムコポリマーの十分に特性付けされている多数の分取TREF画分および/または狭い組成を有する十分に特性付けされている多数のランダムエチレンコポリマーを用いる検量線の作成によって決定することができる2つの定数である。なお、αおよびβは計器によって変わり得る。さらに、その検量線を作成するために用いた分取TREF画分および/またはランダムコポリマーについての適切な分子量範囲およびコモノマータイプを用いて、対象となるポリマー組成で適切な検量線を作成する必要がある。わずかな分子量効果が生じる。同様の分子量範囲から検量線が得られたら、そのような影響は、本質的に無視してもよい。一部の実施形態において、ランダムエチレンコポリマーおよび/またはランダムコポリマーの分取TREF画分は、次の関係を満たす:

Claims (22)
- 粒状基材および塗布化合物を含むポリマーコーテッド粒状材料であって、
前記塗布化合物が前記粒状基材の表面の少なくとも50%をコートし、そして塗布時に前記塗布化合物が、プロピレン系ホモポリマー、コポリマー、共重合体、およびマルチブロック共重合体;エチレン系ホモポリマー、コポリマー、共重合体、およびマルチブロック共重合体;ならびにこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択される熱可塑性ポリマーと、水および場合によって有機溶剤を含む分散媒と、前記熱可塑性ポリマーとは異なる1つまたはそれ以上の極性ポリオレフィン分散安定化ポリマーとを含む混合物を溶融混練して形成される水性分散液を含む、ポリマーコーテッド粒状材料。 - 前記熱可塑性ポリマーが、プロピレン系マルチブロック共重合体、エチレン系マルチブロック共重合体およびこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択される、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 前記粒状基材が、鉱物粒、サンドおよびゴム粒子から成る群より選択される、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 前記粒状基材が、シリカ系サンドである、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 前記分散液が、起泡分散液(frothed dispersion)である、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 接着促進剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 前記粒状材料が、前記粒状基材の重量に基づき1から20重量パーセントの範囲の量で前記熱可塑性ポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 1つまたはそれ以上のUV阻害剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 藻類抑制剤、抗微生物剤、殺生剤、殺真菌剤、またはこれらの組み合わせをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマーが、少なくとも部分的に架橋されている、請求項1に記載の粒状材料。
- 請求項1に記載の粒状材料を充填材として含む人工芝。
- プロピレン系ホモポリマー、コポリマー、共重合体、およびマルチブロック共重合体;エチレン系ホモポリマー、コポリマー、共重合体、およびマルチブロック共重合体;ならびにこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択される熱可塑性ポリマーと、前記熱可塑性ポリマーとは異なる1つまたはそれ以上の極性ポリオレフィン分散安定化ポリマーと、水および場合によって有機溶剤を含む分散媒とを含む混合物を溶融混練して形成される水性分散液を調製する段階;
粒状基材材料を60℃から350℃の間の温度に予熱する段階;
前記予熱した粒状材料と前記水性分散液とを攪拌して混ぜる段階;
前記分散媒の少なくとも一部分を蒸発させる段階;
前記蒸発した分散媒の少なくとも一部分を除去する段階;そして、
ポリマーコーテッド粒状材料を冷却する段階
を含む、ポリマーコーテッド粒状材料の形成方法。 - 前記粒状基材を100℃より高い温度に予熱する段階をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記粒状基材材料と前記分散液との混合物を100℃より高い温度に加熱する段階をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマーが、プロピレン系マルチブロック共重合体、エチレン系マルチブロック共重合体およびこれらの組み合わせから成る群より選択される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記粒状基材が、鉱物粒、サンドおよびゴム粒子から成る群より選択される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記粒状基材が、シリカ系サンドである、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記水性分散液を起泡させる段階をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 接着促進剤と前記粒状基材を混合する段階をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマーの少なくとも一部分を架橋させる段階をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記塗布化合物が、1つまたはそれ以上のUV阻害剤をさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記塗布化合物が、藻類抑制剤、抗微生物剤、殺生剤、殺真菌剤、またはこれらの組み合わせをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
