Claims (7)
- ガラス基板に対して相対移動せしめられ、ガラス基板上の配向膜の表面をラビング処理するラビング装置であって、
それぞれフレームにより回転自在に支持された、複数のラビングローラと、
複数のラビングローラの、ガラス基板とラビング装置の相対移動方向に対するラビング角度を同じ角度に同時に設定可能な角度設定機構と、を具備し、
角度設定機構が、
複数のフレームと回動可能に係合する連結機構と、
複数のフレームの平行を維持する平行維持手段と、を含み、
連結機構は、フレームとの係合部がガラス基板とラビング装置の相対移動方向と同じ方向に並ぶように、配置される、
ことを特徴とするラビング装置。 - ラビングローラが同じ長さである、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のラビング装置。
- 連結機構はラビングローラの中央位置で複数のフレームと回動可能に係合する、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のラビング装置。
- 連結機構は複数のフレームにそれぞれ設置された突起と、各突起が係合する連結プレートと、を含んで成る、ことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のラビング装置。
- 平行維持手段は、各フレームに設けられたレールと摺動自在に係合するスライダとを互いに結合して成る、ことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のラビング装置。
- 平行維持手段が連結機構の両側に配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のラビング装置。
- 角度設定機構は、一対のフレームの間に設けられ、フレームが載置されるマウントステージ上で垂直方向の回転軸を中心として、ラビングローラが所定のラビング角度になるようにフレームを回転可能な回転バーを備える、ことを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載のラビング装置。
