Description
Claims (14)
- バタフライバルブに使用するシールであって、
環状の開口内の周囲において前記バタフライバルブの本体部分に取り付けられた環状の実質弾性シール部材と、
前記環状の開口を通過する流体流れを制御する流量制御部材に固定されたシールリングと、を備え、
前記シールリングは、前記環状の実質弾性シール部材とシールするよう結合するように構成された外周表面を有するラミネート構造であり、
前記ラミネート構造は、実質剛性の第1の金属層と、実質剛性の第2の金属層と、前記第1の金属層に結合された第1の膨張グラファイト層と、前記第2の金属層に結合された第2の膨張グラファイト層と、前記第1の膨張グラファイト層および前記第2の膨張グラファイト層に結合されるポリマー層とを備え、前記第1の膨張グラファイト層は、前記第1の金属層に隣接し、前記第2の膨張グラファイト層は、前記第2の金属層に隣接する、シール。 - 前記金属層はステンレス鋼からなる、請求項1に記載のシール。
- 前記実質剛性シールリングは、さらなる金属層を前記第1のおよび第2の膨張グラファイト層の間に有する、請求項1に記載のシール。
- 前記シールリングは前記流量制御部材に取り付けられている、請求項1に記載のシール。
- 前記環状の弾性キャリアは金属で形成されている、請求項1に記載のシール。
- 前記環状の実質弾性シール部材に隣接するとともに、複数の流れ方向の1つにおいて、前記環状の実質弾性シール部材の剛性を高めるように構成された実質弾性部材を更に備える、請求項1に記載のシール。
- 前記複数の流れ方向の1つが逆流方向である、請求項6に記載のシール。
- 前記実質弾性部材は、前記シール部材を研磨媒体から保護するように構成されている、請求項6に記載のシール。
- 前記実質弾性部材は、複数の流れ方向の1つにおいて、圧力に応じて前記シール部材と連結するように構成されている、請求項6に記載のシール。
- 実質剛性の第1の金属層と、実質剛性の第2の金属層と、前記第1の金属層に固定される第1の膨張グラファイト層と、前記第2の金属層に固定される第2の膨張グラファイト層と、前記第1の膨張グラファイト層および前記第2の膨張グラファイト層に固定されるポリマー層とを備え、前記第1の膨張グラファイト層は、前記第1の金属層に隣接し、前記第2の膨張グラファイト層は、前記第2の金属層に隣接する、シールとして使用する多層構造部材。
- 前記第1の金属層はステンレス鋼で形成されている、請求項10に記載の多層構造部材。
- 前記ポリマー層はPTFEで形成されている、請求項10に記載の多層構造部材。
- 前記第1および第2の膨張グラファイト層の間に第3の金属層を更に備える、請求項10に記載の多層構造部材。
- 前記第2の金属層はステンレス鋼によって形成されている、請求項10に記載の多層構造部材。
