Description
Claims (12)
- 1対の対向する基板であって、各基板が周辺端部と面を有し、該面は別の対向する基板の面と一般的に対向している基板、
前記対向する基板の前記対向する面の間に位置する複数の半導体素子であって、少なくとも2つのグループの異種の半導体素子を有し、該2つのグループの異種の半導体素子が交互のパターンで電気的に接続されるよう並べられ、導体素子により電気的に直列に結合された複数の半導体素子、
第1、第2及び第3の端子であって、各端子は少なくとも1つの導体素子と電気的に結合され、該第3の端子は、該導体素子により電気的に直列に結合された前記複数の半導体素子により生成された回路に沿い、該第1と第2の端子間に電気的に位置付けられる、第1、第2及び第3の端子、
前記第3の端子と電気的に接続され、前記第1、第2及び第3の端子の任意の2つの間で電流を選択的に許容するよう構成されたスイッチ、
を有する熱電システムであって、
前記異種半導体素子はP型、及びN型半導体を有し、
前記導体素子は前記半導体素子の終端に沿って隣接する半導体素子を電気的に結合し、前記導体素子は前記半導体素子の上部又は下部に位置し、
前記電気的に結合された半導体素子は前記導体素子に沿った複数の第1ノード、及び複数の第2ノードを有し、該第1及び第2ノードは、前記半導体素子の少なくとも2つを通り流れる電流の方向に応じて熱を放出、又は吸収し、並びに、前記熱電システムのインピーダンスは前記スイッチを作動させることにより制御される、
熱電システム。 - 第1の共通ノードにおいて互いに接続された第1と第2の異種半導体素子の第1の対であって、第1の終端、及び第2の終端を有する第1の対、
第2のノードにおいて互いに接続された第1と第2の異種半導体素子の第2の対であって、第1の終端、及び第2の終端を有し、該第2の対の該第1の終端は該第2のノードにおいて前記第1の対の前記第2の終端に電気的に接続されている第2の対、
前記第1の対の前記第1の終端に接続された第1の端子、
前記第2の対の前記第2の終端に接続された第2の端子、
スイッチを通じて前記第2のノードに接続された第3の端子、
を有する熱電システムであって、
前記異種半導体素子はP型、及びN型半導体を有し、
複数の半導体素子が導体素子により電気的に直列に結合され、前記導体素子は前記半導体素子の終端に沿って隣接する半導体素子を電気的に結合し、前記導体素子は前記半導体素子の上部又は下部に位置し、
前記スイッチは、前記第3の端子を通して電流を切替えることにより、前記熱電システムのインピーダンスを制御する、
熱電システム。 - 前記スイッチの切替えは、前記熱電システムを通して流れる前記電流の方向に関連する、請求項2に記載の熱電システム。
- 前記第1の端子は第1の電圧源に接続し、前記第2の端子は第2の電圧源に接続し、電流が前記第1と第2の異種半導体素子の前記第1と第2の対を通して流れるように、前記スイッチが開かれる、請求項2又は3に記載の熱電システム。
- 前記第1の端子は第1の電圧源に接続し、前記第2の端子は第2の電圧源に接続し、前記第3の端子は該第2の電圧源に接続し、電流が前記第1と第2の異種半導体素子の前記第1の対のみを通して流れるように、前記スイッチが閉じられる、請求項2〜4のいずれか一項に記載の熱電システム。
- 第1の終端、及び第2の終端を有する第1の異種半導体素子、
第1の終端、及び第2の終端を有する第2の異種半導体素子であって、該第2の異種半導体素子の該第1の終端が、半導体素子の上部又は下部に沿って位置する導体素子により、前記第1の異種半導体素子の前記第2の終端に電気的に接続されている第2の異種半導体素子、
前記第1の異種半導体素子の前記第1の終端に電気的に接続される第1の端子、
第1のノードにおいて前記第2の異種半導体素子の前記第2の終端に電気的に接続される第2の端子、
スイッチを通じて、前記第1の異種半導体素子の前記第1の終端と前記第1のノードの間に電気的に位置付けられる接触ポイントに電気的に接続される第3の端子、
を有する熱電システムであって、
前記半導体素子はP型、及びN型半導体を有し、
前記スイッチは、前記第3の端子を通して電流を選択的に切替えることにより、前記熱電システムのインピーダンスを制御する、
熱電システム。 - 前記スイッチは、前記接触ポイントに接続されたスライド可能な脚を有する、請求項6に記載の熱電システム。
- 前記スイッチは、前記第1の異種半導体素子の前記第1の終端と前記第1のノードの間の複数の接触ポイントに接続された複数のタップを有し、前記スイッチは、作動時に該複数のタップの少なくとも1つを閉じる、請求項6に記載の熱電システム。
- 前記スイッチは前記複数のタップの1つを選択するように構成され、前記第1の異種半導体素子を通る電流は前記複数のタップの1つを選択することにより制御される、請求項8に記載の熱電システム。
- 複数の導体素子により各々が直列に電気的に結合された複数の半導体素子であって、各半導体素子が第1の終端、及び第2の終端を有する複数の半導体素子、
前記複数の半導体素子の前記第1の終端に沿い置かれる第1の基板、
前記複数の半導体素子の前記第2の終端に沿い置かれる第2の基板、
前記複数の半導体素子の第1の電気的終端に動作可能に結合される第1の端子、
前記複数の半導体素子の第2の電気的終端に動作可能に結合される第2の端子であって、前記第1及び第2の端子の間に印加される電圧が、前記半導体素子の全てを通り流れる電流を生成する、第2の端子、
前記第1及び第2の端子の間に電気的に接続される第3の端子であって、該第3の端子と前記第1及び第2の端子の1つの間に印加される電圧が、前記半導体素子の一部を通り流れる電流を生成する、第3の端子、並びに
前記第3の端子と電気的に接続され、前記第1、第2及び第3の端子の任意の2つの間で電流を選択的に許容するよう構成されたスイッチ、
を有する熱電システムであって、
前記半導体素子はP型、及びN型半導体を有し、
前記導体素子は前記第1の終端又は第2の終端に沿って隣接する半導体素子を電気的に結合し、前記導体素子は前記半導体素子の上部又は下部に位置し、
電流が前記熱電システムに供給されると、前記半導体素子を通り流れる電流の方向に基づき、前記第1の基板が加熱されるよう構成され、及び前記第2の基板が冷却されるよう構成される、
熱電システム。 - 前記半導体素子はP型、及びN型半導体を有する、請求項10に記載の熱電システム。
- 前記第1及び第2の端子の間に電気的に接続された第4の端子を更に有し、該第4の端子と前記第1及び第2の端子の1つの間に印加される電圧は、前記半導体素子の一部を流れる電流を生成する、請求項10に記載の熱電システム。
