Description
Claims (12)
- 機器に電力を供給する充電可能な電池パックに含まれる電池セルの動作に関するデータを収集する段階と、
前記電池セルの前記収集したデータと電池基準データのセットとを比較する段階と、
前記収集したデータと前記電池の基準データとの比較に少なくとも一部は基づいて、前記電池セルが非正規品あるいは欠陥品であるかを判断する段階と、
前記電池パック又は前記電池セルが非正規品または欠陥品である場合、前記電池パックの充電を停止し、前記電池パックを安全な電圧まで放電させる段階と
を備える、電池動作の管理方法。 - 前記電池セルの前記収集したデータは、前記電池パックに含まれる前記電池セルの充電/放電曲線を含み、前記電池基準データは、基準の充電/放電曲線を含む、請求項1に記載の電池動作の管理方法。
- インターネット、イントラネット、あるいは他のデータソースへの接続を介して前記基準データを更新する段階をさらに含む、請求項1又は2に記載の電池動作の管理方法。
- 前記基準データは、リコールの対象である電池に関するデータおよび欠陥品の電池に関するデータを含むグループのうち1つ以上を含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の電池動作の管理方法。
- 前記電池セルが非正規品または欠陥品であることに気づいたことに関してユーザに通知する段階をさらに含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の電池動作の管理方法。
- 前記電池パックが、前記電池パックの電池制御ユニットを使用する前記機器にとって正規品であるかを判断する段階をさらに含む、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の電池動作の管理方法。
- 電池制御ユニットおよび1つ以上の電池セルを含む充電可能な電池パックに電力を供給する充電器と、
前記1つ以上の電池セルの動作に関するデータを収集し、前記収集されたデータおよび基準データのセットの比較に少なくとも一部は基づいて前記電池セルのいずれかが非正規品または欠陥品であるかを判断し、前記電池パック又は前記電池セルが非正規品または欠陥品である場合、前記電池パックの充電を停止し、前記電池パックを安全な電圧まで放電させる電池管理システムと
を備える、機器の電池システム。 - 前記電池管理システムは、インターネット、イントラネット、あるいは他のデータソースへの接続を含み、前記接続を用いて前記電池管理システムが前記基準データの更新を取得する、請求項7に記載の機器の電池システム。
- 前記基準データの前記更新は、リコール対象の電池あるいはその他の欠陥品の電池に関するデータを含む、請求項8に記載の機器の電池システム。
- 前記収集したデータは、前記電池パックに含まれる前記電池セルの充電/放電曲線を含み、前記基準データは、基準の充電/放電曲線を含む、請求項7から9のいずれか一項に記載の機器の電池システム。
- 前記電池管理システムは、前記1つ以上の電池セルのうちある電池セルが非正規品あるいは欠陥品であると判断した場合に、前記機器のオペレーティングシステムに通知する、請求項7から10のいずれか一項に記載の機器の電池システム。
- 前記機器は、携帯コンピューティング機器である、請求項7から11のいずれか一項に記載の機器の電池システム。
