Description
本願は、合衆国第35法典第119条(e)に基づいて、引用したことにより本明細書に記載されたものとする2007年6月20日に出願された米国特許仮出願第60/936443号明細書の利益を請求する。
本発明は、概して流体力学的トルク伝達装置、特にハイブリッド用途のための流体力学的連結装置に関する。
ブレードの入口角度及び出口角度、ポンプ及びタービンシェルの形状、トルクコンバータの総直径とが、その性能に影響する。設計パラメータは、トルク比と、効率と、エンジンを"ランアウェイ"させることなくエンジントルクを吸収するためのトルクコンバータの能力とを含む。これは、トルクコンバータが小さすぎ、ポンプがエンジンを減速させることができない場合に起こる。
エンジンモードでの作動が望まれるならば、チャンバ338における圧力が減じられる。チャンバ374におけるチャージ圧力はピストン344を方向367に変位させる。突出部366は軸方向の力をバッキングプレート362に加え、クラッチパック408を圧縮し、ハウジング348からキャリヤ332へトルクを伝達する。トルクコンバータ及びトルクコンバータクラッチモードは上の電気モータモードで説明されたように達成される。シール346及びシールチューブ342はチャンバ330と338との間の流体連通を阻止するので、クラッチ328とクラッチ408とは他方から影響されずに作動する。すなわち、チャンバ330及び338における個々の圧力は、クラッチ328及び408を操作するために独立して制御可能である。言い換えれば、チャンバ330と338とは、例えば前記シールによって流体隔離されている。また、車両を推進するためのパワーを高めるために電気モータはエンジンと共に使用されることができる。
Claims (6)
- 流体力学的な連結装置において、
ハウジング(109)の一部分を形成しているシールプレート(116)と、
前記ハウジング(109)内に配置されたポンプ(104)と、
前記ハウジング(109)内に配置されておりかつ前記ポンプ(104)と流体連通したタービン(106)と、
前記シールプレート(116)に固定されたカバー(127)及び前記シールプレート(116)によって少なくとも部分的に包囲された乾燥チャンバ(132)と、
前記カバー(127)の上流側に配置されてエンジンクランクシャフトからのトルクが伝達されるパイロットシャフト(166)と前記カバー(127)とを駆動可能に係合させるように配置された第1のクラッチとを備え、
該第1のクラッチがダイヤフラムばね(146)を含みかつ乾燥チャンバ(132)内に配置されていることを特徴とする、流体力学的な連結装置。 - ダンパ(154)が設けられており、該ダンパ(154)が前記乾燥チャンバ(132)内に配置されている、請求項1記載の連結装置。
- 前記第1のクラッチの操作を制御するために前記ダイヤフラムばね(146)を変位させるように配置されたピストンカップ(133)が設けられており、該ピストンカップ(133)が少なくとも部分的に乾燥チャンバ(132)を包囲している、請求項1又は2記載の連結装置。
- 前記ピストンカップ(133)及び前記シールプレート(116)が、連結装置の操作中に回転方向で固定されている、請求項3記載の連結装置。
- 前記カバー(127)に結合されたロータ(182)を備えた電気モータが設けられている、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の連結装置。
- 前記エンジンクランクシャフトの内径部においてセンタリングされた前記パイロットシャフト(166)と前記カバー(127)との間に配置され、前記カバー(127)を前記エンジンクランクシャフトに対してセンタリングする軸受(164)を有する、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の連結装置。
