Description
ウシの血液(ヘマトクリット(赤血球容積率)32〜40の範囲内、総タンパク質量:60−80g/l)を用いた生体外(in vitro)のテストにおいて、本開示による脱気装置の効率は、対応するシステム(図6)内に空気を注入することで評価された。装置は、本質的に血液が循環する流れからなり、37℃の1リットルの血液(ウシ血液)と、圧力計と、本開示による脱気装置と、商品名Polyflux 170 HでGambroから販売される透析器と、ドリップチャンバおよび対応する配管と、を備える。さらにそのシステムは、第1の空気注入口S1と、第2の空気注入口S2と、を備え、第1の空気注入口S1は圧力計の前に、第2の空気注入口S2は圧力計の後に、配置される。脱気装置から分離される空気の量ないし体積は、水および脱気装置から来た空気が導入された水を収納したチューブから排出された水の量を測定することで決定される。注入口を介してシステム内に導入された空気の量はもちろん変更できる。空気の注入は連続的な様式や或いは大きな塊で行うことができる。流れは、QB = 300ml/minに調整され、静脈の圧力は100mmHgに調整された。
上記例1の文脈中で説明された同様の脱気装置は、羊を用いた生体内(in vivo)のテストのためにも用いられ、その生体内のテストは、AK 200 Ultra dialysis machineとPolyflux 170 Hの透析器とを含んだ標準的な透析装置(図10)に基づいてなされる。システムは図10に示されるように、S1からS4の再注入口を有し、再注入口は透析器の動脈側位置あるいは静脈側の位置に配置される。このシステムはさらに本開示(例1を参照のこと)による2つの脱気装置を含み、それらは透析器の前側(動脈側)と後側(静脈側)とにそれぞれ配置される。
この上に示す表は、注入後で定められた時間経過後に気泡計数器(ABC)で検出された空気の観点からの生体内テスト(in vivo test)の結果を示している。
以下に、本願出願の当初に特許請求の範囲に記載された発明を付記する。

液体の注入口、液体の排出口、および気泡の排出口を有する筐体を具備し、前記筐体は、さらに、液体の渦巻形に流れる経路を規定する渦巻形の壁と、前記渦巻形の壁の上側で前記渦巻形の壁と前記気泡の排出口との間で実際に前記渦巻形の壁と接することなく設けられ、所定量の消泡剤で被覆された疎水性の膜と、を有し、前記渦巻形の壁は、前記液体の流入口を通って筐体内に接線方向に入る液体の内側に向かう流れを前記渦巻形の通路に沿って渦巻き状に流れることを強要し、前記気泡が前記疎水性の膜に向けて上側に流れることを引き起こすことを特徴とする液体から気泡を脱気する脱気装置。

前記液体と前記疎水性の膜との間の接触面積が最大となるように、前記渦巻形の壁と疎水性の膜との間に空間が設けられることを特徴とする[1]に記載の脱気装置。

前記筐体は、前記気泡から解放された後に前記液体を前記筐体から離脱させる穴をその底面に有することを特徴とする先行する[1]、[2]のいずれか一つに記載の脱気装置。

前記筐体は、液体の注入口および液体の排出口を有する円筒形の筐体で構成されることを特徴とする先行する[1]から[3]のいずれか一つに記載の脱気装置。

前記円筒形の筐体の直径は、その高さよりも大きいことを特徴とする[4]に記載の脱気装置。

前記円筒形の筐体の直径および高さの比は、2.5:1から1:1の範囲内であり、好ましくは2:1から1.75:1の範囲内であり、さらに好ましくは1.9:1から1.8:1の範囲内であることを特徴とする[5]に記載の脱気装置。

前記液体の排出口は、排出通路を規定する接管を有することを特徴とする先行する[1]から[6]のいずれか一つに記載の脱気装置。

前記接管は、前記筐体と一体に成形されたことを特徴とする[7]に記載の脱気装置。

前記液体の排出口は、チューブの第1の端部を受容するように構成されたことを特徴とする先行する[1]から[8]のいずれか一つに記載の脱気装置。

前記チューブは、前記液体の排出口と一体になった部分を形成し、前記チューブは、一体になったオスルアを前記第1の端部とは反対側の第2の端部に有することを特徴とする[9]に記載の脱気装置。

前記液体の注入口は、注入通路を規定する接管を有することを特徴とする先行する[1]から[10]のいずれか一つに記載の脱気装置。

前記接管は、前記筐体と一体に成形され、チューブの第1の端部を受容するように構成されたことを特徴とする[11]に記載の脱気装置。

前記チューブは、前記液体の注入口と一体になった部分を形成し、前記チューブは、一体になったオスルアを前記第1の端部とは反対側の第2の端部に有することを特徴とする[12]に記載の脱気装置。

前記筐体は、ポリウレタン、ポリカーボネート、ポリスチレン、ポリメタクリル酸メチル、およびポリプロピレンからなる材料のグループから選択された一つの材料で形成されることを特徴とする先行する[1]から[13]のいずれか一つに記載の脱気装置。

外力に対抗して前記疎水性の膜を保護するとともに、脱気装置内の液体の圧力が限界を超えた際に前記疎水性の膜の変形を制限する保護部材をさらに具備することを特徴とする先行する[1]から[14]のいずれか一つに記載の脱気装置。

前記疎水性の膜は、ポリウレタン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ポリメチルペンテン、およびポリテトラフルオロエチレンからなる材料のグループから選択された一つの材料で形成されることを特徴とする先行する[1]から[15]のいずれか一つに記載の脱気装置。

Claims (3)
- 液体の注入口、液体の排出口、および気泡の排出口を有する筐体を具備し、前記筐体は、さらに、液体の渦巻形に流れる経路を規定する渦巻形の壁と、前記渦巻形の壁の上側で前記渦巻形の壁と前記気泡の排出口との間で実際に前記渦巻形の壁と接することなく設けられ、所定量の消泡剤で被覆された疎水性の膜と、を有し、前記渦巻形の壁は、前記液体の流入口を通って筐体内に接線方向に入る液体の内側に向かう流れを前記渦巻形の通路に沿って渦巻き状に流れることを強要し、前記気泡が前記疎水性の膜に向けて上側に流れることを引き起こし、前記渦巻形の壁と前記疎水性の膜との間に空間が設けられることを特
徴とする液体から気泡を脱気する脱気装置。 - 圧力センサと、第1の気泡計数器と、ポンプと、請求項1に記載の第1の脱気装置と、透析器と、を具備し、前記第1の脱気装置は、透析装置の動脈側に配置され、透析装置内に存在する気体を前記透析器内に入る前に除去することを特徴とする透析装置。
- 請求項1に記載第2の脱気装置と、第2の圧力センサと、第2の気泡計数器と、をさらに具備し、前記第2の脱気装置は、透析装置の静脈側で、前記透析器の後に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の透析装置。
