Claims (3)
- 互いに対向配置された平板状の正極集電体および負極集電体と、
前記正極集電体および負極集電体の間で、これら集電体の対向方向に直交する方向に、セパレータを介して対向して交互に積層された、複数の平板状の正極体および負極体と、
を備え、
前記複数の正極体は、正極活物質を含む合材を塗布した基板から構成され、
前記複数の負極体は、負極活物質を含む合材を塗布した基板から構成され、
前記複数の正極体および負極体の少なくとも一方が、該正極体または負極体に対応する前記正極集電体側または負極集電体側の各端部に、直角に折り曲げられた折り曲げ部を有しており、
前記折り曲げ部は、この折り曲げ部を有する正極体または負極体に対向する負極体または正極体の端面に前記セパレータを介して対向しており、かつ、前記対向する負極体または正極体の端面によって、前記セパレータを介して、前記集電体の対向方向に、前記正極集電体または負極集電体に押し付けられて、前記正極集電体または負極集電体に接触している角形電池。 - 請求項1において、前記折り曲げ部の先端部が、折り曲げられた方向に隣接する正極体または負極体の折り曲げ部の基端部と、前記集電体の対向方向に重なっており、前記先端部は、前記基端部によって、前記集電体の対向方向に、前記正極集電体または負極集電体に押し付けられている角形電池。
- 請求項1または2において、ニッケル水素二次電池として構成されており、少なくとも前記正極体に前記折り曲げ部が形成されている角形電池。
