Description
1)光学的情報記録媒体に備わった情報層の数が多いほど、第一の情報層を再生する際のレーザビーム光量の減衰量が大きくなり、充分な再生光量を確保しづらくなること。
2)記録密度を高めることによって記録部と未記録部との間隔が狭くなり、記録部とほぼ同じサイズのレーザ焦点スポットで再生を行う場合、レーザスポット内に記録部と未記録部とが存在する確率が上がるために、信号の識別が困難となること。
3)光学的情報記録媒体の情報層の数が多いほど、第一の情報層以外の情報層に形成されたトラック溝によって、レーザビーム光の直進性・指向性が乱されやすくなり、このことが記録部と未記録部との識別をより一層困難とさせること。
前記記録層は、Ge、Sb及びTeを含み、前記記録層に含まれるGe、Sb及びTeを、原子数比でGexSbyTezと表したとき、x、y及びzが、0.39≦x<0.48、0.02≦y<0.11、0.40≦z<0.56、x+y+z=1を満たし、

前記レーザビームの前記情報層への入射光量に対する、前記レーザビームの前記情報層からの反射光量の比率をR(%)とし、前記記録層が結晶状態である時の前記RをRc(%)、前記記録層が非晶質状態である時の前記RをRa(%)とした場合に、Rc及びRaが、4.0≦Rc/Ra≦5.0、且つ、1.0≦Rc≦3.0を満たす。
実施例1の光学的情報記録媒体は、実施の形態で説明した形態1の記録層を有する光学的情報記録媒体であり、以下のようにして製造した。
記録層005をGeTeとSb2Te3とのモル比率(GeTe/Sb2Te3)が22となるように形成し、さらに記録層005の膜厚を12nmとは異なる厚さとした以外は、実施例1と同様に、3層の情報層を有する光学的情報記録媒体を作製した。この光学的情報記録媒体について、記録層005の膜厚が媒体特性に及ぼす影響を調べた。記録層005の膜厚を8nmとしたものをサンプル2−1、10nmとしたものをサンプル2−2、15nmとしたものをサンプル2−3、17nmとしたものをサンプル2−4とし、それぞれについて実施例1と同様の評価を行った。結果を表4に示す。なお、表4には記録層005の膜厚に対する媒体の評価結果が整理しやすいよう、実施例1で作製したサンプル1−3も併せて示している。
本実施例では、第二の誘電体層007の膜厚が媒体特性に及ぼす影響を調べた。サンプル1−3の第二の誘電体層007の膜厚を種々変えて、サンプル3−1から3−4までを作製した以外は、実施例1と同様に3層の情報層を有する光学的情報記録媒体を作製した。
記録層005を、GeTeとSb2Te3とのモル比率(GeTe/Sb2Te3)が10となる組成、22となる組成、50となる組成をベースとして、それぞれにSbを添加した材料を用いて形成した以外は、実施例1と同様に3層の情報層を有する光学的情報記録媒体を作製した。ただし、第二の誘電体層の膜厚は、表9に示すとおりにした。
第一の誘電体層003の膜厚に対する媒体特性の依存性を調べる目的で、第一の誘電体層003の膜厚を15nmとは異なる膜厚とした以外は、実施例1のサンプル1−3と同様に、3層の情報層を有する光学的情報記録媒体を形成した。第一の誘電体層の膜厚を22nm、20nm、10nm、8nmとしたものを、それぞれ、サンプル5−1、5−2、5−3、5−4とした。
実施例6では、Ge−Sb−Te共晶系記録材料を、図1に示す光学的情報記録媒体100の記録層005に用いた場合の、Ge量が媒体特性に及ぼす影響を調べた例を示す。
実施例7では、Ge−Sb−Te共晶系記録材料を光学的情報記録媒体100の記録層005に用いた場合の、Sb量がディスク特性に及ぼす影響を調べた例を示す。
本実施例では、記録層005の膜厚が媒体特性に及ぼす影響を調べた。記録層005の膜厚を9.5nmとは異なる膜厚とした以外は、サンプル6−3と同様に、3層の情報層を有する光学的情報記録媒体を形成した。すなわち、記録層005の組成を、ICPによる分析組成がGe10.1Sb75.1Te14.8である組成とした。
本実施例では、第二の誘電体層007の膜厚が媒体特性に及ぼす影響を調べた。
第一の誘電体層003の膜厚に対する、媒体評価結果依存性を調べる目的で、第一の誘電体層003の膜厚を15nmとは異なる膜厚とした以外は、サンプル6−3と同様に3層の情報層を有する光学的情報記録媒体を形成した。膜厚を22nm、20nm、10nm、8nmとしたものを、それぞれサンプル10−1、サンプル10−2、サンプル10−3、サンプル10−4とした。
Claims (17)
- 405nmの波長を有するレーザビームの照射によって情報を記録再生し得る情報層を含み、
前記情報層は、レーザビーム入射側と反対側から、少なくとも、反射層と、第一の誘電体層と、前記レーザビームの照射によって相変化を起こし得る記録層と、第二の誘電体層と、をこの順に備え、
前記記録層は、Ge、Sb及びTeを含み、前記記録層に含まれるGe、Sb及びTeを、原子数比でGexSbyTezと表したとき、x、y及びzが、0.39≦x<0.48、0.02≦y<0.11、0.40≦z<0.56、x+y+z=1を満たし、
前記記録層の厚さが10nm以上15nm以下であり、
前記第一の誘電体層の屈折率が2.5以上2.8以下であって、前記第一の誘電体層の膜厚が9nm以上20nm以下であり、
前記第二の誘電体層の屈折率が1.8以上2.4以下であって、前記第二の誘電体層の膜厚が45nm以上65nm以下であり、且つ、
前記レーザビームの前記情報層への入射光量に対する、前記レーザビームの前記情報層からの反射光量の比率をR(%)とし、前記記録層が結晶状態である時の前記RをRc(%)、前記記録層が非晶質状態である時の前記RをRa(%)とした場合に、Rc及びRaが、6.0≦Rc/Ra≦12.0、且つ、1.0≦Rc≦3.0を満たす、
光学的情報記録媒体。 - レーザビーム入射側と反対側から順に、第一の情報層〜第Nの情報層(Nは3以上の整数)を備え、
前記第一の情報層が請求項1に記載の情報層である、
請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記第一の誘電体層が、Tiを含む酸化物材料、BiとTiとを含む酸化物材料、又は、NbとTiとを含む酸化物材料によって形成されている、
請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記第二の誘電体層が、Znの硫化物とSiの酸化物とを含む、
請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記情報層は、前記第一の誘電体層と前記記録層との間に配置された第一の界面層をさらに備え、
前記第一の界面層は、屈折率が1.8以上2.5未満であって、且つ、膜厚が2nm以上10nm以下である、
請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記第一の界面層が、Zr及びCrを含む酸化物材料によって形成されている、
請求項5に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記情報層は、前記記録層と前記第二の誘電体層との間に配置された第二の界面層をさらに備え、
前記第二の界面層は、屈折率が1.8以上2.5未満であって、且つ、膜厚が2nm以上10nm以下である、
請求項1に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記第二の界面層が、Zr及びCrを含む酸化物材料によって形成されている、
請求項7に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 405nmの波長を有するレーザビームの照射によって情報を記録再生し得る情報層を含み、
前記情報層は、レーザビーム入射側と反対側から、少なくとも、反射層と、第一の誘電体層と、前記レーザビームの照射によって相変化を起こし得る記録層と、第二の誘電体層と、をこの順に備え、
前記記録層は、Ge、Sb及びTeを含み、前記記録層に含まれるGe、Sb及びTeを、原子数比でGexSbyTezと表したとき、x、y及びzが、0.05≦x≦0.15、0.70≦y≦0.80、0.05≦z≦0.25、x+y+z=1を満たし、
前記記録層の厚さが7.0nm以上12.0nm以下であり、
前記第一の誘電体層の屈折率が1.4以上2.3未満であって、前記第一の誘電体層の膜厚が10nm以上20nm以下であり、
前記第二の誘電体層の屈折率が1.8以上2.4以下であって、前記第二の誘電体層の膜厚が35nm以上55nm以下であり、且つ、
前記レーザビームの前記情報層への入射光量に対する、前記レーザビームの前記情報層からの反射光量の比率をR(%)とし、前記記録層が結晶状態である時の前記RをRc(%)、前記記録層が非晶質状態である時の前記RをRa(%)とした場合に、Rc及びRaが、4.0≦Rc/Ra≦5.0、且つ、1.0≦Rc≦3.0を満たす、
光学的情報記録媒体。 - レーザビーム入射側と反対側から順に第一の情報層〜第Nの情報層(Nは3以上の整数)を備え、
前記第一の情報層が請求項9に記載の情報層である、
請求項9に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記第一の誘電体層が、Zr及びCrを含む酸化物材料によって形成されている、
請求項9に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記情報層は、前記記録層と前記第二の誘電体層との間に設けられた界面層をさらに含み、
前記界面層は、屈折率が1.8以上2.5未満であって、膜厚が2nm以上10nm以下である、
請求項9に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記界面層が、Zr及びCrを含む酸化物材料によって形成されている、
請求項12に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記第二の誘電体層が、Znの硫化物とSiの酸化物とを含む、
請求項9に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記反射層が、Agを主成分とする材料によって形成されており、
前記反射層の膜厚が、60nm以上200nm以下である、
請求項1又は9に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 前記反射層は、Agを95重量%以上含み、In、Pd、Cu、Bi、Ga及びNdから選択される少なくとも何れか1種の元素をさらに含む、
請求項1又は9に記載の光学的情報記録媒体。 - 請求項1又は9に記載の光学的情報記録媒体の記録再生方式であって、
前記光学的情報記録媒体の前記情報層に対し、線速度6.9m/s以上8.8m/s以下で情報の記録再生を行う、
光学的情報記録媒体の記録再生方式。
