Description
Claims (18)
- 各々が金属窒化物の少なくとも2つの層(20、21)からなる複数の周期構造(11)を有する周期的な多層系(10)でできた耐摩耗コーティング(4)を有し、鋼のキャリヤ材又は鋳込材(3)でできたピストンリング(1)において、
前記周期構造(11)内の互いに隣接する前記層(20、21)は、異なる金属元素を含み、また、前記夫々の層(20、21)の厚さが、15nm以上であり、少なくとも1つの周期構造とこれに隣接した周期構造との間には、Ti、Zr、Hf、V、Nb、Ta、Cr、Mo及びWの少なくとも1つの金属でできた少なくとも1つの中間層(25)が設けられていることを特徴とするピストンリング(1)。 - 前記少なくとも2つの層(20、21)は、夫々Ti、Zr、Hf、V、Nb、Ta、Cr、Mo及びWのグループからの少なくとも1つの金属の窒化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1のピストンリング。
- 前記少なくとも2つの層(20、21)の少なくとも1つは、CrNでできていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2のピストンリング。
- 前記各周期構造(11)の前記少なくとも2つの層(20、21)は、CrNとTiN(CrN/TiN)、CrNとZrN(CrN/ZrN)又はCrNとVN(CrN/VN)でできた2つの層(20、21)からなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1のピストンリング。
- 前記少なくとも2つの層(20、21)の前記ドーピング元素が、互いに異なることを特徴とする請求項4のピストンリング。
- 前記少なくとも2つの層(20、21)の隣接する2つの層は、異なる金属の窒化物を含み、これら金属の窒化物は、Ti、Zr、Hf、V、Nb、Ta、Cr、Mo及びWのうちの2種類の元素を含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2のピストンリング。
- 前記少なくとも2つの層(20、21)の少なくとも1つは、TiZrN、TiAlN、CrSiN、CrZrN、CrTiN又はCrVNからなることを特徴とする請求項6のピストンリング。
- 少なくとも1つのアンダーコーティング(26)が、前記耐摩耗コーティング(4)が被覆されたキャリヤ材(3)と前記耐摩耗コーティング(4)との間に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし7のいずれか1のピストンリング。
- 前記アンダーコーティング(26)は、Ti、Zr、Hf、V、Nb、Ta、Cr、Mo及びWの少なくとも1つの金属からなることを特徴とする請求項8のピストンリング。
- 前記周期構造(11)の厚さは、30nm以上1μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし9のいずれか1のピストンリング。
- 前記周期構造(11)の厚さは、30nm以上500nm以下であることを特徴とする請求項10のピストンリング。
- 前記周期構造(11)の厚さは、60nm以上120nm以下であることを特徴とする請求項11のピストンリング。
- 前記夫々の層の厚さは、15nm以上150nm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし10のいずれか1のピストンリング。
- 前記多層系(10)の厚さは、10μm以上50μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし13のいずれか1のピストンリング。
- 前記多層系(10)の厚さは、10μm以上30μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項14のピストンリング。
- 前記多層系(10)は、PVDプロセスによって形成されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし15のいずれか1のピストンリング。
- 前記多層系(10)は、電気アークプロセスによって形成されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし15のいずれか1のピストンリング。
- 前記多層系(10)は、CVDプロセスによって形成されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし15のいずれか1のピストンリング。
