Claims (20)
- 所望の配向の位相遅延軸を有する湾曲フィルタを製造する方法であって、
光軸を有する平面位相遅延板を提供する工程と、
平面偏光板を提供する工程と、
前記平面位相遅延板を前記平面偏光板に対して積層する角度を予め決定する工程と、
前記平面位相遅延板と前記平面偏光板とを前記予め決定された角度で積層させる工程と、
積層された前記平面位相遅延板および前記平面偏光板を湾曲させて、前記位相遅延板に対して応力をかけて、前記位相遅延板に対して、応力に起因する複屈折を生じさせる工程とを備え、
前記予め決定された角度により、前記応力に起因する複屈折を実質的に補償し、前記位相遅延板の前記光軸を前記所望の配向に配置する方法。 - 前記予め決定された角度は、数学モデルを用いて決定される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記予め決定された角度は、チャートまたはテーブルを用いて決定され、前記チャートまたはテーブルは、前記湾曲フィルタの半径と前記予め決定された角度とを相関付ける請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記平面位相遅延板は1/4波長板を含む請求項1に記載の方法。

偏光層と、
前記偏光層に対して、予め決定された角度で積層されている位相遅延層とを備え、
前記位相遅延層および前記偏光層は前記湾曲構成へ湾曲され、
前記位相遅延層は、応力に起因する複屈折を有し、
さらに、前記予め決定された角度により、前記応力に起因する複屈折が実質的に補償され、前記位相遅延層の光軸が所望の配向に配置されているフィルタ。 - 前記偏光層の外面は、前記位相遅延層の内面に積層される請求項12に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記位相遅延層の外面に積層される非複屈折層をさらに備え、
前記非複屈折層は、前記位相遅延層の前記応力に起因する複屈折を補償する請求項13に記載のフィルタ。 - 前記位相遅延層の外面は、前記偏光層の内面に積層される請求項12に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記位相遅延層の内面に積層される非複屈折層をさらに備え、
前記非複屈折層は、前記位相遅延層の前記応力に起因する複屈折を補償する請求項15に記載のフィルタ。 - 前記偏光層および前記位相遅延層は、感圧接着剤で積層される請求項12に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記位相遅延層は多層遅延板スタックを含む請求項12に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記位相遅延層は1/4波長板を含む請求項12に記載のフィルタ。
