Description
Claims (9)
- 第1基板と、前記第1基板に対向して配置される第2基板と、前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間に表示領域を取り囲んで配置されるシール材によって封入される液晶層と、
を備え、
前記第2基板は、前記液晶層側の面の略全面にシールド電極が形成され、
前記シール材は、導電材を含み、前記第1基板上の電極と前記第2基板上の電極とを導通させる導通部が形成され、
前記第1基板は、前記液晶層側の面に、
画素選択用の第1薄膜トランジスタと、
前記第1薄膜トランジスタの上方に形成された画素電極および共通電極と、
交流的または直流的な特定の電位を供給する配線と、
一方端が前記導通部を介して前記シールド電極と電気的に接続され、他方端が前記特定の電位を供給する配線に接続されるスイッチ素子と、
が形成され、
前記スイッチ素子は、前記シールド電極の電位が前記特定の電位を供給する配線の電位よりも大きく、その差が10Vよりも大きいときにオン状態となる、液晶表示装置。
- 前記特定の電位を供給する配線は、前記共通電極に共通電位を供給する配線である、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記スイッチ素子は、前記画素選択用の第1薄膜トランジスタの能動層と同一の層からなる能動層を有する第2薄膜トランジスタを含む、請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2薄膜トランジスタのソース/ドレインの一方は、前記シールド電極と導通するとともに、
前記第2薄膜トランジスタの少なくともソース/ドレインの一方と前記第2薄膜トランジスタのゲートとが接続されている、請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1基板には、前記表示領域以外の非表示領域が設けられており、
前記スイッチ素子は、前記非表示領域に設けられている、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記スイッチ素子は、平面的に見て、前記シール材とオーバーラップするように設けられている、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記導通部と前記スイッチ素子の一方端とを接続する配線層とをさらに備え、
前記導通部および前記配線層は、平面的に見て、前記シール材とオーバーラップするように設けられている、請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記スイッチ素子は、複数設けられ、前記複数のスイッチ素子は、直列または並列に接続されている、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置を備える、電子機器。
