Claims (3)
- 固体酸化物型電解質をアノード電極とカソード電極とで挟んで構成される電解質・電極接合体が、セパレータ間に積層される燃料電池であって、
前記セパレータは、前記アノード電極に燃料ガスを供給するための燃料ガス供給部又は前記カソード電極に酸化剤ガスを供給するための酸化剤ガス供給部を設けるとともに、
少なくとも前記燃料ガス供給部又は前記酸化剤ガス供給部のいずれかには、前記電解質・電極接合体を挟持する前記セパレータ間に位置して、前記燃料ガス又は前記酸化剤ガスをシールするシール部材が配置され、
前記シール部材は、ガスシール性を有し且つ前記セパレータに接着するために、粘土鉱物及び有機高分子が複合化された粘土膜を備え、前記燃料ガス及び前記酸化剤ガスに対する室温におけるガス透過係数が3.2×10 -11 cm 2 s -1 cmHg -1 未満であることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記シール部材は、厚さが1mm以下で且つ面積が0.1cm2以上に設定され、且つ面圧が0.1MPa〜10MPaに設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池において、前記シール部材に対し前記燃料電池の積層方向に10N〜1000Nの締め付け荷重を付与する締め付け部を備えることを特徴とする燃料電池。
