Description
以上の動作で、所定の映像信号源と映像伝送装置、映像表示装置が直接接続されたと判断された時、映像伝送装置15はその映像圧縮部126の圧縮率を上げると共に、CECメッセージにより、映像信号源11の映像処理115を映像圧縮率が上がり易いように事前処理を行わせ。映像表示装置14の映像処理145を映像圧縮特有のノイズを低減するフィルタ処理を施すことにより、高画質な映像伝送を可能とする利点がある。
所定の映像信号源11がCECメッセージを出す時は必ずDDC+5Vを供給することを決めておけば、状態312において、DDC+5Vが供給される前に、無線送信ユニット12がメッセージを受信する場合は、所定の映像信号源が接続されていないと判断できる。従って、第一及び第二のレジスタがセットされて、CECメッセージ伝送が許可されている場合であっても、CEC通信部121は応答しないまま、第一のレジスタ128をリセット(図4の411)し、DDC+5V待機状態312を継続する。

Claims (5)
- 非圧縮映像信号を伝送するHDMI(High-Definition Multimedia Interface)を介して第1の装置、第2の装置、及び第3の装置が接続されている映像伝送システムにおいて、
前記第1の装置が、前記第2の装置及び前記第3の装置が所定の双方向通信機能を有しているか否かを確認し、前記第2の装置及び前記第3の装置が共に前記所定の双方向通信機能を有する装置である場合には、前記第2の装置と前記第3の装置との間で前記所定の双方向通信機能を使用可能とし、
前記第3の装置が示すHPD(Hot Plug Detect)信号が“L”レベルに設定されると、前記第2の装置と前記第3の装置との間の前記所定の双方向通信機能が停止されることを特徴とする映像伝送システム。 - 請求項1の映像伝送システムであって、
前記第1の装置は、前記第2の装置から送信されるメッセージに基づいて、前記第2の装置が前記所定の双方向通信機能を有する装置であることを確認することを特徴とする映像伝送システム。 - 請求項1または2の映像伝送システムであって、
前記第1の装置は、前記第3の装置に格納されている前記第3の装置の機能を示す情報を読み出すことにより、前記第3の装置が前記所定の双方向通信機能を有する装置であることを確認することを特徴とする映像伝送システム。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれかの映像伝送システムであって、
前記所定の双方向通信機能は、HDMI(High-Definition Multimedia Interface)規格で規定されているCEC(Consumer Electronics Control)仕様の通信機能であることを特徴とする映像伝送システム。 - 請求項1〜4のいずれかの映像伝送システムであって、
前記第1の装置は映像信号を伝送する伝送装置であり、
前記第2の装置は映像信号を再生して出力する映像信号再生装置であり、
前記第3の装置は入力された映像信号に基づいて映像を表示する表示装置であることを特徴とする映像伝送システム。
