Claims (10)
- 内燃機関用の粒子状物質フィルタ基材であって、
前記フィルタ基材が、少なくとも部分的にウォッシュコートにより被覆されてなり、
前記ウォッシュコートが、少なくとも3.50gcm−3のかさ密度を有する比較的高密度な材料を含んでなるものであり、
前記比較的高密度な材料が、高密度化アルファアルミナ、高密度化ランタン、及び高密度化ジルコニアからなる群から選択されてなるものである、粒子状物質フィルタ基材。 - 全長Lである前記基材が、比較的高密度な材料を含んでなるウォッシュコートにより被覆されてなる、請求項1に記載の粒子状物質フィルタ基材。
- 前記基材の第1端部から前記基材の全長Lの3分の2までの実質的に均一な長さの領域が、前記比較的高密度な材料を含んでなるウォッシュコートにより被覆されてなる、請求項1に記載の粒子状物質フィルタ基材。
- 前記基材の第2端部から前記基材の全長Lの少なくとも3分の1の実質的に均一な長さの領域が、3.50gcm−3未満の密度を有する比較的低密度な材料を含んでなるウォッシュコートにより被覆されてなる、請求項3に記載の粒子状物質フィルタ基材。
- 前記ウォッシュコート又は前記各ウォッシュコートが、触媒活性金属又は触媒活性金属化合物を担持してなる、請求項1〜4の何れか一項に記載の粒子状物質フィルタ基材。
- 前記比較的低密度なウォッシュコートの材料のみが、触媒活性金属又は触媒活性金属化合物を担持してなる、請求項4に記載の粒子状物質フィルタ基材。
- 前記触媒活性金属又は触媒活性金属化合物が白金族金属を含んでなるものである、請求項5又は6に記載の粒子状物質フィルタ基材。
- 請求項1〜7の何れか一項に記載の粒子状物質フィルタ基材を備えてなる、リーンバーン内燃機関用の排気システム。
- リーンバーン内燃機関と、請求項8に記載の排気システムを備えてなる、装置。
- 前記リーンバーン内燃機関が、ディーゼル(圧縮点火)機関である、請求項9に記載の装置。
