Description
超音波探触子は例えば医用の超音波診断装置に超音波の送受波源として用いられる。このようなものの一つに、複数の圧電素子を長軸方向に円弧状に並べたコンベックス型があり、通常では短軸方向に曲率を有する音響レンズが被着される。そして、医用では、消毒液に浸されるため、耐薬品フィルムが音響レンズの内周に設けられる。
第2図は一従来例を説明する超音波探触子の図で、同図(a)は長軸方向の、同図(b)は短軸方向の断面図である。
しかしながら、上記構成の超音波探触子では、コンベックス型とする円弧状の曲率が大きくなる(曲率半径が小さくなる)ほど、例えば曲率半径が20mm以下になり、開口角が180度を超える場合、音響レンズ11の内周に耐薬品フィルム12を貼り付けることが困難になる問題があった。これらの場合、例えば耐薬品フィルム12のシワ等によって、音響レンズ11の内周との間に気泡等を生じた場合には、超音波の減衰が大きく探触子としての機能が損なわれて不良品となる問題を生ずる。
本発明は耐薬品フィルムの貼り付けを容易にしたコンベックス型とする超音波探触子の製造方法を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の請求項2では、前記耐薬品フィルムは前記音響整合層の表面及び前記長軸方向の両側面及び前記両端面を含む全外周に貼り付けられる。これにより、両側面の樹脂モールド上にも耐薬品フィルムを貼り付けるので、全外周を薬品から保護する。なお、両側面は樹脂モールドされるので、両端面からの侵入よりも軽減する。
Claims (1)
- バッキング材上に複数の圧電素子を長軸方向に円弧状に並べ、前記複数の圧電素子上に音響整合層を設けて前記長軸方向に沿った前記複数の圧電素子、前記バッキング材及び前記音響整合層の両側面を樹脂モールドし、前記音響整合層に耐薬品フィルムを介在させてから音響レンズを被着してなるコンベックス型の超音波探触子の製造方法において、前記音響整合層の表面、両側面及び両端面、前記複数の圧電素子、前記バッキング材及び前記樹脂モールドの表面を覆って前記耐薬品フィルムを貼り付けた後、前記音響レンズを前記耐薬品フィルムを介して前記音響整合層に被着することを特徴とする超音波探触子の製造方法。
