Description
しかし、カチオン重合性樹脂組成物は、カチオン重合開始剤中の陰イオン(PF6 −、SbF6 −等)の存在に因り、金属部(ITO電極部、ワイヤーボンド接合部等)を腐食することがある。そのため、液晶シール材やカメラモジュール用接着剤等として用いるには、問題があった。
即ち、本願第1発明は、少なくとも陰イオンを交換するイオン交換物質、充填剤及びカチオン重合開始剤が含有されるカチオン重合性樹脂組成物において、充填剤の平均粒径がイオン交換物質の平均粒径の5〜50倍であり且つ10〜30μmであり、充填剤が球状ガラス粒子を含み、イオン交換物質がカチオン重合開始剤1重量部に対し0.5〜4重量部含有されることを特徴とするカチオン重合性樹脂組成物、を提供する。
本願発明に係るカチオン重合性樹脂組成物においては、少なくとも陰イオンを交換するイオン交換物質を含有する。このイオン交換物質は、少なくともカチオン重合開始剤中の陰イオンを捕捉(吸着)する機能を有する。
イオン交換物質としては、具体的には、Bi系陰イオン交換体、Zr系陰イオン交換体、Sb,Bi系両イオン交換体等の1種以上が挙げられる。
充填剤は、粒子状である。充填剤の内、ガラス粒子は球状である。他の充填剤は、球状が好ましい。充填剤の平均粒径は、イオン交換物質の平均粒径より大きく、イオン交換物質の平均粒径の5〜50倍である。充填剤の平均粒径は、10〜30μmである。充填剤の平均粒径が小さ過ぎると水分の浸透経路の制御が不十分となることがあり、逆に大き過ぎるとイオン交換能力を超える局部的な水分量の増加が発生するとなることがある。
充填剤としては、樹脂の硬化性及び耐熱性の観点から、少なくとも球状ガラス粒子を含む。他の充填剤においては、アクリル樹脂製充填剤が好ましい。
<カチオン重合性樹脂組成物の調製>
・実施例1
各配合成分を均一に混合し、更にロールミルにて均一分散させ、下記配合組成の光カチオン重合性樹脂組成物を調製した。「平均粒径」は、レーザー光回折法を用いた散乱式粒度分布測定装置により求めた累積重量平均値D50(又はメジアン径)である。
光カチオン重合性樹脂組成物(配合組成);
エポキシ樹脂[三井化学(株)製、「エポミックR−140」]100重量部、芳香族スルホニウム塩系光カチオン重合開始剤[ADEKA(株)製、「アデカオプトマーSP−170」]2重量部、Sb,Bi系両イオン交換体[東亜合成(株)製、「IXE−600」、平均粒径1.5μm]4重量部、球状ガラス粒子[ポッターズ・バロティーニ(株)製、「GB210」、平均粒径18μm]40重量部。
球状ガラス粒子40重量部を球状架橋アクリル樹脂粒子[綜研化学(株)製、「MR−30G」、平均粒径30μm]20重量部に替えた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、光カチオン重合性樹脂組成物を調製した。
Sb,Bi系両イオン交換体の配合量4重量部を2重量部に替えた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、光カチオン重合性樹脂組成物を調製した。
芳香族スルホニウム塩系光カチオン重合開始剤を芳香族スルホニウム塩系熱カチオン重合開始剤[三新化学工業(株)製、「サンエイドSI−100L」]に替えた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、熱カチオン重合性樹脂組成物を調製した。
球状ガラス粒子を配合しなかった以外は、実施例1と同様にして、光カチオン重合性樹脂組成物を調製した。
球状ガラス粒子を球状シリカ[タツモリ(株)製、「アダマファインSO−C3」、平均粒径1μm]に替えた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、光カチオン重合性樹脂組成物を調製した。
Sb,Bi系両イオン交換体の配合量4重量部を10重量部に替えた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、光カチオン重合性樹脂組成物を調製した。
カチオン重合性樹脂組成物(各実施例1、3、及び4、参考例2、並びに比較例1〜3)の金属腐食性及び硬化性を、下記櫛形電極を用い、試験した。
次いで、塗布樹脂4(各実施例1及び3、参考例2、並びに比較例1〜3)については、7kW高圧水銀灯にて紫外線照射(波長365nm、照射量3J/cm2)し、光硬化させた。また、塗布樹脂4(実施例4)については、加熱(120℃にて1時間、更に180℃にて1時間)硬化させた。
参考例2のカチオン重合性樹脂組成物を用いた場合、アルミ配線上に腐食は全く確認されなかった。塗布樹脂は、全厚に亘って、完全に硬化していた。
実施例4のカチオン重合性樹脂組成物を用いた場合、アルミ配線上に約5μmの斑点状腐食が1か所、確認された。塗布樹脂は、全厚に亘って、完全に硬化していた。

一般に、陰イオン交換体は、完全には総ての陰イオンを補足(イオン交換)できる訳ではない。そのため、陰イオン交換体が配合されたカチオン重合樹脂硬化物であっても、僅かに遊離の腐食性陰イオンが残存する。

Claims (2)
- 少なくとも陰イオンを交換するイオン交換物質、充填剤及びカチオン重合開始剤が含有されるカチオン重合性樹脂組成物において、充填剤の平均粒径がイオン交換物質の平均粒径の5〜50倍であり且つ10〜30μmであり、充填剤が球状ガラス粒子を含み、イオン交換物質がカチオン重合開始剤1重量部に対し0.5〜4重量部含有されることを特徴とするカチオン重合性樹脂組成物。
- カチオン重合性樹脂組成物が液晶シール材又はカメラモジュール用接着剤であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカチオン重合性樹脂組成物。
