Claims (4)
- 検出対象ガスに含まれるNOxの濃度を検出するガスセンサであって、
前記検出対象ガスの流通を制限する拡散抵抗部を介して前記検出対象ガスが導入される第1測定室と、
前記拡散抵抗部よりも上流側に設けられ、前記第1測定室へ導入される前記検出対象ガスに含まれるNO2をNOに還元する還元部と、
第1固体電解質層および一対の第1電極を備え、前記一対の第1電極が前記第1測定室の内側と外側とに設けられる第1酸素ポンプセルと、
前記第1測定室よりも下流側に位置し、前記第1測定室から前記検出対象ガスが導入される第2測定室と、
第2固体電解質層および一対の第2電極を備え、前記一対の第2電極が前記第2測定室の内側と外側とに設けられた第2酸素ポンプセルであって、前記第2測定室に導入された前記検出対象ガスに含まれるNOの分解によって生じた酸素量に基づく電流が前記一対の第2電極間に流れる第2酸素ポンプセルと、
を備えることを特徴とするガスセンサ。 - 前記還元部を加熱するヒータをさらに備え、
前記ヒータの加熱によって、前記還元部は、前記還元部を流通する前記検出対象ガスを、NO2のNOへの還元に必要な温度である還元温度以上に加熱することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガスセンサ。 - 前記還元部には、NO2のNOへの還元反応を触媒する還元触媒が担持されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のガスセンサ。
- 前記拡散抵抗部および前記還元部は、前記検出対象ガスを流通させる多数の連続する気孔が形成された多孔質体からなり、
前記還元部の気孔率は、前記拡散抵抗部の気孔率に比べて高いことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のガスセンサ。
