本発明は、電極カテーテルと、組織切除のために電極カテーテルを使用する方法と、に関する。特に、本発明の電極カテーテルは、標的組織に切除エネルギー(たとえばRFエネルギー)を印加するための電極・組織接触および電気的結合を評価する回路を備えてもよい。

Claims (13)
- 第1電極を有し、カテーテルと電気的に接続するように構成された測定回路と、
相違する組織のタイプの高結合状態に関連付けられて経験的に予め設定された複数のベンチマーク値を含むデータ構造と、
少なくとも前記第1電極と相互接続可能な電源と、
前記第1電極と組織との間の高結合状態の識別に基づいて組織穿孔の警告を提供するように構成された結合評価モジュールとを備え、
前記結合評価モジュールは、前記測定回路によって測定された、前記第1電極と前記組織との間の信号の少なくとも一部と、前記組織に対応して予め設定されたベンチマーク値のうちの1つとを比較することによって、前記高結合状態のレベルを決定し、
前記高結合状態は、前記組織に穿孔をもたらす可能性があることを示す、医療システム。 - 前記結合評価モジュールが、リアクタンスを少なくとも1つのリアクタンスベンチマーク値と比較することにより前記高結合状態を設定するように構成される、請求項1に記載の医療システム。
- 前記高結合状態が、リアクタンスが所定の負のリアクタンス値を下回る場合に存在する、請求項1または2に記載の医療システム。
- 前記結合評価モジュールが、位相角を少なくとも1つの位相角ベンチマーク値と比較することにより前記高結合状態を設定するように構成される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の医療システム。
- 前記高結合状態が、位相角が所定の負の位相角値を下回る場合に存在する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の医療システム。
- 前記結合評価モジュールが、位相角が事前設定値を有する周波数を少なくとも1つのベンチマーク周波数値と比較することにより前記高結合状態を設定するように構成される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の医療システム。
- 前記高結合状態が、位相角が事前設定値を有する周波数が所定周波数値を上回る場合に存在する、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の医療システム。
- 前記結合評価モジュールが、リアクタンスが事前設定値を有する周波数を少なくとも1つのベンチマーク周波数値と比較することにより前記高結合状態を設定するように構成される、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の医療システム。
- 前記高結合状態が、リアクタンスが事前設定値を有する周波数が所定周波数値を上回る場合に存在する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の医療システム。
- 前記結合評価モジュールに動作可能に相互接続される高結合状態指示器をさらに備える、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の医療システム。
- 戻り電極と電気的に接続するようにさらに構成されており、前記第1電極および前記戻り電極が異なるカテーテルに関連する、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の医療システム。
- 前記第1電極および前記戻り電極が共通の心腔内に配置可能である、請求項11に記載の医療システム。
- 前記戻り電極が前記第1電極より広い表面積を有する、請求項11または12に記載の医療システム。
