Description
本実施の形態の発光体は、第1の面と、前記第1の面と交わる第2の面とが周期的に形成された凹凸形状を有する基板と、第1の面上に形成される第1の蛍光体層と、第2の面上に形成され第1の蛍光体層と異なる波長の蛍光を発する第2の蛍光体層とを備える。
本実施の形態の発光装置は、励起光を出射する光源と、第1の面と、第1の面と交わる第2の面とが周期的に形成された凹凸形状を有する基板と、第1の面上に形成され、励起光を吸収し第1の蛍光を発する第1の蛍光体層と、第2の面上に形成され、励起光を吸収し第1の蛍光と異なる波長の第2の蛍光を発する第2の蛍光体層とを備える。すなわち、光源と、第1の実施の形態で説明した発光体とを備える発光装置である。
本実施の形態の表示装置は、レーザ光を出射する光源と、画像を表示するスクリーンと、レーザ光を選択的に透過または反射するライトバルブと、ライトバルブを介したレーザ光をスクリーンに一括投射する投射光学系とを有する表示装置である。そして、スクリーンは、第1の面と、第1の面と交わる第2の面とが周期的に形成された凹凸形状を有する基板と、第1の面上に形成され、励起光を吸収し第1の蛍光を発する第1の蛍光体層と、第2の面上に形成され、励起光を吸収し第1の蛍光と異なる波長の第2の蛍光を発する第2の蛍光体層とを備える。
本実施の形態の表示装置は、レーザ光を出射する光源と、画像を表示するスクリーンと、レーザ光を平行光とする光学系と、平行光となったレーザ光をスクリーン上に2次元的に走査する走査機構とを有する表示装置である。そして、スクリーンは、第1の面と、第1の面と交わる第2の面とが周期的に形成された凹凸形状を有する基板と、第1の面上に形成され、励起光を吸収し第1の蛍光を発する第1の蛍光体層と、第2の面上に形成され、励起光を吸収し第1の蛍光と異なる波長の第2の蛍光を発する第2の蛍光体層とを備える。

Claims (3)
- 励起光を出射する光源と、
平面である第1の面と、前記第1の面と傾斜して交わる平面である第2の面とが周期的に形成された凹凸形状を有し、複数の前記第1の面がすべて同一の傾斜角を備え、複数の前記第2の面がすべて同一の傾斜角を備える基板と、
前記第1の面上に形成され、前記励起光を吸収し第1の蛍光を発する第1の蛍光体層と、
前記第2の面上に形成され、前記励起光を吸収し前記第1の蛍光と異なる波長の第2の蛍光を発する第2の蛍光体層と、
前記励起光の前記第1および第2の面に対する入射角が可変となるように、前記励起光の出射方向と前記基板とを相対的に移動させる入射角可変機構を備え、
前記基板が透明ガラスで形成され、前記第1の蛍光体層および前記第2の蛍光体層上に金属層が形成され、
前記励起光を前記透明ガラス側から入射し、前記第1および第2の蛍光を透明ガラス側から取り出すよう構成されることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 前記第1の面と前記第2の面のなす角度が90度以下であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。
- 前記光源が半導体レーザダイオードであることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載の発光装置。
