Abstract
【解決手段】波長変換部材10は、入射光の少なくとも一部を異なる波長の光に変換する蛍光体5、及び、蛍光体5を保持するバインダ6を具備した蛍光体層4と、光の入射方向における蛍光体層4の厚みを変化させる厚み変更手段とを備える。厚み変更手段は、蛍光体層4を挟持する2枚の透明基板3,3を有しており、両透明基板3,3の間隔を駆動回路7により変化させることで、光の入射方向における蛍光体層4の厚みを変化させる。その結果、蛍光体層4の厚みに応じて、入射光の色温度が連続的に変化するのである。

Description
図1は本実施形態の照明装置Aの一部省略せる概略構成図であり、本照明装置Aは、発光素子2と、発光素子2からの入射光の色温度を変化させる波長変換部材10とを備える。
本発明に係る照明装置Aの実施形態2について以下に説明する。実施形態1では蛍光体層が単層の場合について説明したが、本実施形態では蛍光体層が複数層の場合について説明する。なお、以下の説明において、実施形態1と同様の構成については同一の符号を付して説明は省略する。また、以下の説明において蛍光体層4A,4Bを区別する必要がないときは蛍光体層4と表記する。

Claims (7)
- 入射光の少なくとも一部を異なる波長の光に変換する蛍光体、及び、前記蛍光体を保持するバインダを具備した蛍光体層と、
光の入射方向における前記蛍光体層の厚みを変化させる厚み変更手段とを備えることを特徴とする波長変換部材。 - 前記蛍光体が前記蛍光体層の内部に均一に分散されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の波長変換部材。
- 前記厚み変更手段は、前記蛍光体層を挟持する複数の基板を有し、基板の間隔を変化させることで前記入射方向における前記蛍光体層の厚みを変化させることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の波長変換部材。
- 前記蛍光体層を複数備え、複数の前記蛍光体層が前記入射方向において重なるように配置されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の波長変換部材。
- 前記蛍光体層を複数備え、複数の前記蛍光体層が前記入射方向において重ならないように配置されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の波長変換部材。
- 入射面に近い位置に配置された前記蛍光体層から放射される光の一部が、前記入射面から遠い位置に配置された前記蛍光体層に吸収され、当該蛍光体層から異なる波長の光が放射されることを特徴とする請求項4記載の波長変換部材。
- 発光ダイオードと、前記発光ダイオードからの入射光の少なくとも一部を異なる波長の光に変換する請求項1〜6の何れか1項に記載の波長変換部材とを備えたことを特徴とする照明装置。
