(A)第1の方向に延びるN本の第1配線から構成された第1配線群1131,1132、
(B)第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向に延びるM本の仮想第2配線が第1の方向に沿って二分割されて成る、(2×M)本の第2配線から構成された第2配線群1111,1112、並びに、
(C)第1配線と第2配線との重複領域に形成された画像表示部EA、
を備えている。
(A)第1の方向に延びるN本の第1配線から構成された第1配線群、
(B)第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向に延びるM本の仮想第2配線が第1の方向に沿って二分割されて成る、(2×M)本の第2配線から構成された第2配線群、並びに、
(C)第1配線と第2配線との重複領域に形成された画像表示部、
を備えており、
第1配線群は、N1本の第1配線から成る第1の第1配線群、及び、N2本(但し、N=N1+N2)の第1配線から成る第2の第1配線群から構成されており、
第2配線群は、第1の第1配線群と重複するM本の第2配線から成る第1の第2配線群、及び、第2の第1配線群と重複するM本の第2配線から成る第2の第2配線群から構成されており、
第1の第1配線群における第1番目の第1配線から第N1番目の第1配線まで、次いで、第2の第1配線群における第1番目の第1配線から第N2番目の第1配線までが、順次選択される線順次駆動方式の平面型表示装置の駆動方法であって、
第1の第1配線群において、少なくとも第N1番目の第1配線が選択され、且つ、第1の第2配線群を構成するM本の第2配線のそれぞれに、画像表示部における輝度を規定する電圧が印加されるとき、第2の第1配線群及び第2の第2配線群のうち、第2の第1配線群に電圧を印加せず、第2の第2配線群を構成するM本の第2配線に、所定の電圧を印加し、
所定の電圧は、第2の第1配線群において第1番目の第1配線が選択され、且つ、第2の第2配線群を構成するM本の第2配線のそれぞれに、画像表示部における輝度を規定する電圧が印加されるときの電圧に等しい電圧である。
第2の第1配線群において第1番目の第1配線が選択され、且つ、第2の第2配線群において、M本の第2配線のそれぞれに、画像表示部における輝度を規定する電圧が印加されるときの該電圧[Vm(2,1)]に等しい電圧である構成とすることができる。
カソードパネルは、
(a)支持体、
(b)支持体上に形成された複数の帯状のカソード電極、
(c)支持体及びカソード電極上に形成された絶縁層、
(d)絶縁層上に形成された複数の帯状のゲート電極、及び、
(e)ゲート電極とカソード電極との重複領域に位置する電子放出領域、
から構成されており、
アノードパネルは、基板、並びに、該基板上に形成された、各電子放出領域に対応して設けられた蛍光体領域及びアノード電極から構成されており、
電子放出領域には、1又は複数の冷陰極電界電子放出素子(以下、電界放出素子と略称する場合がある)が配置されている構成とすることができる。
(1)支持体上にカソード電極を形成する工程、
(2)全面(支持体及びカソード電極上)に絶縁層を形成する工程、
(3)絶縁層上にゲート電極を形成する工程、
(4)カソード電極とゲート電極との重複領域におけるゲート電極及び絶縁層の部分に開口部を形成し、開口部の底部にカソード電極を露出させる工程、
(5)開口部の底部に位置するカソード電極上に電子放出部を形成する工程。
(1)支持体上にカソード電極を形成する工程、
(2)カソード電極上に電子放出部を形成する工程、
(3)全面(支持体及び電子放出部上、あるいは、支持体、カソード電極及び電子放出部上)に絶縁層を形成する工程、
(4)絶縁層上にゲート電極を形成する工程、
(5)カソード電極とゲート電極との重複領域におけるゲート電極及び絶縁層の部分に開口部を形成し、開口部の底部に電子放出部を露出させる工程。
(A)第1の方向(具体的には、例えば、水平方向)に延びるN本の第1配線(具体的には、後述するゲート電極13)から構成された第1配線群113、
(B)第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向(具体的には、例えば、垂直方向)に延びるM本の仮想第2配線が第1の方向に沿って二分割されて成る、(2×M)本の第2配線(具体的には、後述するカソード電極11)から構成された第2配線群1111,1112、並びに、
(C)第1配線と第2配線との重複領域に形成された画像表示部(具体的には、後述する電子放出領域EA)、
を備えている。
Claims (1)
- (A)第1の方向に延びるN本の第1配線から構成された第1配線群、
(B)前記第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向に延びるM本の仮想第2配線が前記第1の方向に沿って二分割されて成る、(2×M)本の第2配線から構成された第2配線群、並びに、
(C)前記第1配線と前記第2配線との重複領域に形成された画像表示部、
を備えており、
前記第1配線群は、N1本の前記第1配線から成る第1の第1配線群、及び、N2本(但し、N=N1+N2)の前記第1配線から成る第2の第1配線群から構成されており、
前記第2配線群は、前記第1の第1配線群と重複するM本の第2配線から成る第1の第2配線群、及び、前記第2の第1配線群と重複するM本の第2配線から成る第2の第2配線群から構成されており、
前記第1の第1配線群における第1番目の前記第1配線から第N1番目の前記第1配線まで、次いで、前記第2の第1配線群における第1番目の前記第1配線から第N2番目の前記第1配線までが、順次選択される線順次駆動方式の平面型表示装置の駆動方法であって、
前記第1の第1配線群において、少なくとも第N1番目の前記第1配線が選択され、且つ、前記第1の第2配線群を構成する前記M本の第2配線のそれぞれに、画像表示部における輝度を規定する電圧が印加されるとき、前記第2の第1配線群及び前記第2の第2配線群のうち、前記第2の第1配線群に電圧を印加せず、前記第2の第2配線群を構成する前記M本の第2配線に、所定の電圧を印加し、
前記所定の電圧は、前記第2の第1配線群において第1番目の前記第1配線が選択され、且つ、前記第2の第2配線群を構成する前記M本の第2配線のそれぞれに、前記画像表示部における輝度を規定する電圧が印加されるときの該電圧に等しい電圧である
