Description
単一な第一電極318を示したが、複数電極を用いて、例えばバルーン310外周に沿って一定間隔離しても良い。上記のように塗膜312表面は塗膜と周囲環境間の界面領域を増加するようにザラザラにし、界面での治療薬輸送を改善しても良い。バルーン310外面は種々の導電材、例えばステンレススチールや他の適切金属、ダイアモンド材のような不導材でできた切刃316a―dを備えるか、導電塗装を備えても良い。切刃はバルーン切断技術で周知のものを含む多数の配置(他の多くの中でも、例えば縦直線配置、螺旋配置など)が取れることに注目したい。図示の本発明の実施形態では切刃316a―dは又第二電極としても機能する。それ故切刃316a―dの第一要件は組織を切断貫通できることであり、かす治療薬送達に適した電界を提供するに十分な導電性であることである。
816iがニードル817先端を曝露したままで導電層816とニードル817の一部上に配置される。更に導電電極層818と荷電薬剤含有ポリマー層812が提供される。ニードル817はプラークに関与して(又例えば図11B参照)、内腔820の一部が図示のようにポリマー層812とプラーク824間に位置できる。
Claims (20)
- 体内医療器具であって、
(a)該医療器具を被験者内に配置したときに電極間に被験者組織があるように適合さ
れた電極と、
(b)該電極間に電圧を印加し、その結果該組織に向かうベクトルを有する電界を発生するように適合された電源と、
(c)該電界に治療薬を導入するように適合された治療薬源と
を含み、
該治療薬源は、イオン伝導性ポリマー塗膜内に分散した荷電治療薬を含み、
該器具は、非伝導性膨張性部材および第一電極をさらに含み、該第一電極は、該非伝導性膨張性部材にわたり提供され、該治療薬を含むポリマー塗膜は該第一電極にわたり提供され、
該器具は、さらに、該膨張性部材の外面に配置された第二電極を含み、該第二電極は、組織と電気接触をなすための先端、および少なくとも一部に絶縁材の層が提供される刃の側部を備える切刃からなり、そのため該切刃は、該被験者内の該膨張性部材が膨張したときに該被験者の内部組織を突き刺すようになっている体内医療器具。 - 該医療器具がカテーテル、グラフト、ステント、バルーン、慢性完全閉塞装置、動脈瘤治療装置、血管形成装置、フィルター、心房中隔欠損閉鎖装置、動脈穿刺封止用装置及び除細動装置から選択される請求項1の体内医療器具。
- 該医療器具が、埋め込み又は挿入後体液流れの新規通路又は増進通路を提供する医療器具と、埋め込み又は挿入後体液流れを妨げる医療器具とから選択される請求項1の体内医療器具。
- 該電源が該組織内で電気穿孔を起こすに十分な電圧を印加するように適合されている請求項1の体内医療器具。
- 該治療薬源の少なくとも一部が該電界内に位置する請求項1の体内医療器具。
- 該電源が該荷電治療薬保持の増進、該荷電治療薬送達の増進又は両者を起こすに十分な電圧を印加するように適合されている請求項5の体内医療器具。
- 該電源が更に該組織内で電気穿孔を起こすに十分な電圧を印加するように適合されている請求項6の体内医療器具。
- 該医療器具が複数の該ポリマー領域を含む請求項6の体内医療器具。
- 該医療器具が正電荷を有する第一荷電治療薬を含む第一ポリマー領域と負電荷を有する第二荷電治療薬を含む第二ポリマー領域を含む請求項8の体内医療器具。
- 該ポリマー領域がポリエーテル、高分子電解質、電気導電ポリマー及びこれらの組み合わせから選択されるポリマーを含む請求項6の体内医療器具。
- 該ポリマー領域がホモポリマー、ランダムコポリマー、周期コポリマー、ブロックコポリマー及びそれらの組み合わせから選択されるポリマーを含む請求項6の体内医療器具。
- 該荷電治療薬が本質的に帯電した治療薬、荷電分子に共有結合的に付着した治療薬、荷電分子に非共有結合的に付着した治療薬、荷電粒子に付着するか又はその中にカプセル化した治療薬及びそれらの組み合わせから選択される請求項6の体内医療器具。
- 該荷電治療薬が荷電パクリタキセルを含む請求項6の体内医療器具。
- 該荷電治療薬が高分子電解質鎖を含む請求項6の体内医療器具。
- 該ポリマー領域がポリマー基板上に配置される請求項6の体内医療器具。
- 該ポリマー基板がポリエーテル鎖を含む第一ポリマーを含み、該ポリマー領域がポリエーテル鎖を含む第二ポリマーを含み、且つ該第一ポリマーと第二ポリマーが同一でも異なっても良い請求項15の体内医療器具。
- 該ポリマー基板がポリアミド鎖を含む第一ポリマーを含み、該ポリマー領域がポリアミド鎖を含む第二ポリマーを含み、且つ該第一ポリマーと第二ポリマーが同一でも異なっても良い請求項15の体内医療器具。
- 該ポリマー基板がポリエーテル鎖とポリアミド鎖を含むブロックコポリマーを含み、且つ該ポリマー領域がポリエーテル鎖、ポリアミド鎖及びそれらの組み合わせから選択される鎖を含むイオン伝導ポリマーを含む請求項15の体内医療器具。
- 該ブロックコポリマーがポリテトラメチレンオキサイド鎖とナイロン12鎖を含む請求項18の体内医療器具。
- 該イオン伝導ポリマーがポリエチレンオキサイド鎖、ポリアミノ酸、高分子電解質鎖及びそれらの組み合わせから選択される鎖を含む請求項18の体内医療器具。
