Description
図1を参照すれば、DMB端末は、2つのアンテナ(ANT1、ANT2)を備えてDMB信号を受信し、通話信号を送/受信することができる。RF信号処理部(1)、(2)110、140は、各々関連したアンテナ(ANT1、ANT2)から受信されるRF信号を中間周波数(IF)信号にダウンコンバーティングし、ディジタル信号に変換してDMBモデム120及び制御部150に各々提供する。
図2を参照すれば、電圧検出部130は、ステップS10で、所定時間の間電圧レベルを検出して平均電圧レベルを計算する。次に、ステップS20で、平均電圧レベルが所定しきい値以下であるかどうかを判断する。ステップS20の判断の結果、平均電圧レベルが所定しきい値以下でない場合、DMB端末のバッテリ電力がDMBサービスのみならず、通話サービスのためにも充分であるので、電圧検出部130はステップS10に戻る。
図3を参照すれば、DMB端末は2つのアンテナ(ANT1、ANT2)を具備してDMB信号を受信し、通話信号を送/受信することができる。RF信号処理部(1)、(2)310、330は、各々関連しているアンテナ(ANT1、ANT2)から受信されるRF信号をIF信号にダウンコンバーティングし、ディジタル信号に変換して各々DMBモデム320及び制御部340に提供する。
図5を参照すれば、DMB端末の制御部340内のADC345がステップS510で電源部350を周期的にチェックし、所定期間の平均電圧を算出する。次に、ステップS520で、制御部340は算出された平均電圧が所定しきい値以下であるかどうかを判断する。ステップS520の判断の結果、算出された平均電圧が所定しきい値以下でない場合、電源部350のバッテリ電力がDMBサービスに充分であるので制御部340はステップS510に戻る。

Claims (5)
- ディジタルマルチメディア放送(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting:DMB)サービスを支援する移動端末におけるバッテリ電力を制御する装置であって、
各々関連しているアンテナを介して受信されるDMB信号と通話信号を受信する第1及び第2RF信号処理部と、
前記第1RF信号処理部から出力されるDMB信号を復調し、外部から入力されるパワーオフ命令に応答するDMBモデム部と、
前記第2RF信号処理部から出力される通話信号を処理し、バッテリの電圧を周期的にチェックし、予め決定された時間の間、チェックされた電圧の平均を測定し、前記測定された平均電圧が所定しきい値以下の場合、前記DMBモデム部にパワーオフ命令を提供する制御部と
を含み、
前記DMBモデムは、
前記パワーオフ命令を受信すれば、DMBサービス用初期獲得周波数テーブルとDMBモデム部用ソフトウェアで使用する各種パラメータを格納し、作動を停止させることを特徴とするバッテリ電力制御装置。 - 前記制御部は、
前記バッテリの電圧を測定するアナログ−ディジタルコンバータ(Analog to Digital Converter:ADC)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のバッテリ電力制御装置。 - 前記DMBモデムは、
前記制御部から提供されたパワーオフ命令とインターフェーシングするメモリと、
前記パワーオフ命令によって前記DMBモデムの電源をオフさせるパワーオフ制御部とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のバッテリ電力制御装置。 - ディジタルマルチメディア放送(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting:DMB)信号を復調するDMBモデム部と、通話信号を処理する制御部を備えた端末におけるバッテリ電力制御方法であって、
前記制御部がバッテリの電圧を周期的にチェックし、予め決定された時間の間、チェックされた電圧の平均を測定する過程と、
前記測定された平均電圧が一定しきい値以下であれば、パワーオフ命令を発生させて前記DMBモデム部に提供する過程と、
前記DMBモデム部が前記パワーオフ命令を受信すれば、DMBサービス用初期獲得周波数テーブルを含むパラメータを格納する過程と、
前記パラメータを格納した後、DMBモデムの作動を停止させる過程と
からなり、
前記少なくとも1つのパラメータは、
DMBサービス用初期獲得周波数テーブルと前記DMBモデム部用ソフトウェアで使用する状態パラメータを含むことを特徴とする電力制御方法。 - 前記DMBモデムが成功的なパワーオフを表す情報を前記制御部に提供する過程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項4記載の電力制御方法。
