Claims (5)
- データ記録媒体であるディスクに対向して浮上し、データの記録または再生を行うヘッドスライダにおいて;
内部に、電流入力により発熱する発熱部を備え、
前記発熱部の発熱により、熱膨張して前記ディスクに対向する面のシルエットが変形し、
前記ディスクに対向する面に、
前記ディスク側に突出したABSと、
前記ABSより窪んだキャビティと、
前記ABSより窪んでおり前記キャビティよりは突出したリセスと、
を備え、
前記発熱部は、前記キャビティを前記ディスク側に突出させるためのキャビティ発熱部と、前記リセスを前記ディスク側に突出させるためのリセス発熱部を有することを特徴とする、ヘッドスライダ。 - 前記発熱部は、鉄−クロム合金、またはニッケル−クロム合金からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダ。
- データ記録媒体であるディスクと、
前記ディスクに対向して浮上しデータの記録または再生を行うものであって、内部に、電流入力により発熱する発熱部を有して、前記発熱部の発熱により熱膨張して前記ディスクに対向する面のシルエットが変形するヘッドスライダと、
前記発熱部への電流入力を制御して、前記ディスクからの前記ヘッドスライダの浮上高さを制御するコントローラと、
を備え、
前記ヘッドスライダは、前記ディスクに対向する面に、
前記ディスク側に突出したABSと、
前記ABSより窪んだキャビティと、
前記ABSより窪んでおり前記キャビティよりは突出したリセスと、
を備え、
前記発熱部は、前記キャビティを前記ディスク側に突出させるためのキャビティ発熱部と、前記リセスを前記ディスク側に突出させるためのリセス発熱部を有することを特徴とする、ハードディスクドライブ。 - 前記発熱部は、鉄−クロム合金、またはニッケル−クロム合金からなることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載のハードディスクドライブ。
- 内部に電流入力により発熱する発熱部を備えたヘッドスライダを、データ記録媒体であるディスクと対向して浮上させ、前記ディスクからの浮上高さを測定するステップと、
前記浮上高さが、設定された最適の浮上高さの範囲になければ、前記ヘッドスライダの発熱部を発熱させて、熱膨張により前記ディスクに対向する面のシルエットを変形させるステップと、
を含み、
前記ヘッドスライダは、前記ディスクに対向する面に、
前記ディスク側に突出したABSと、
前記ABSより窪んだキャビティと、
前記ABSより窪んでおり前記キャビティよりは突出したリセスと、
を備え、
前記発熱部は、前記キャビティを前記ディスク側に突出させるためのキャビティ発熱部と、前記リセスを前記ディスク側に突出させるためのリセス発熱部を有し、
前記シルエットを変形させるステップにおいては、前記ヘッドスライダの浮上高さが前記最適の浮上高さより低ければ、前記キャビティ発熱部を発熱させて前記キャビティを前記ディスク側に突出させ、前記ヘッドスライダの浮上高さが前記最適の浮上高さより高ければ、前記リセス発熱部を発熱させて前記リセスを前記ディスク側に突出させることを特徴とする、ヘッドスライダの浮上高さの制御方法。
