Description
図1〜図4を参照して、本発明の第1実施形態によるバックライト装置10を備えた液晶表示装置1の構造について説明する。なお、液晶表示装置1は、本発明の「表示装置」の一例である。
この第2実施形態では、図5〜図7を参照して、上記第1実施形態とは異なり、規制部(規制部材)116gがフレーム116に一体的に形成されている場合について説明する。
この第3実施形態では、図8および図9を参照して、上記第1および第2実施形態とは異なり、規制部材213が拡散シート14a(光学シート14)に固定されている場合について説明する。

Claims (11)
- サイドライト型のバックライト装置であって、
発光素子と、
前記発光素子からの光が入射される光入射面、および、入射した光を表示パネル側に出射する光出射面を含む導光板と、
前記導光板の光出射面に対向配置される光学シートとを備え、
前記導光板の前記光入射面と前記光出射面との間には、前記光出射面に対して傾斜する傾斜面が形成されており、
前記導光板は、前記光入射面側の部分が前記光出射面側の部分よりも厚みが大きくなるように形成されており、
前記導光板の光出射面の前記光入射面側の部分の前方には、遮光性を有するとともに、前記導光板の厚み方向に前記導光板が移動するのを規制する規制部材が配置されており、
前記規制部材は、前記導光板の光入射面および光出射面の前方に配置される幅広シート部材と、前記導光板の光出射面の前方に配置される幅狭シート部材とが接着されることにより形成されていることを特徴とするバックライト装置。 - 前記発光素子、前記導光板および前記光学シートを収納するフレームと、
前記表示パネルを前記フレームに固定するための接着部材とをさらに備え、
前記規制部材は、前記接着部材に接着されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。 - 前記発光素子、前記導光板および前記光学シートを収納する樹脂製のフレームをさらに備え、
前記規制部材は、前記フレームに一体的に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。 - 前記規制部材は、前記光学シートに固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記光学シートは、前記導光板の光出射面に接するように配置される拡散シートを含み、
前記規制部材は、前記拡散シートに固定されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のバックライト装置。 - 前記発光素子、前記導光板および前記光学シートを収納するフレームと、
前記表示パネルを前記フレームに固定するための接着部材とをさらに備え、
前記接着部材は、前記導光板の光入射面および光出射面の前方に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。 - 前記発光素子、前記導光板および前記光学シートを収納するフレームをさらに備え、
前記フレームは、前記規制部材の幅広シート部材が前記幅広シート部材の面方向に移動するのを抑制する機能を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。 - 前記規制部材は、光を反射する機能を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記発光素子、前記導光板および前記光学シートを収納するフレームと、
前記表示パネルを前記フレームに固定するための接着部材とをさらに備え、
前記接着部材の少なくとも一部は、前記導光板の光入射面の前方に配置されており、
前記導光板の光出射面または前記光学シートと前記規制部材との間の距離は、前記導光板の前記光入射面側の部分と前記接着部材との間の距離よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。 - 前記発光素子は、発光チップと、前記発光チップを収納する凹部を有するパッケージ本体部と、前記発光チップを覆うように前記パッケージ本体部の凹部に充填される充填材とを含み、
前記導光板の光入射面は、前記パッケージ本体部の凹部よりも前方の位置まで形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。 - 請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載のバックライト装置と、
前記バックライト装置により照明される表示パネルとを備えることを特徴とする表示装置。
