Claims (5)
- 過給機の回転軸上に配置される一対の転がり軸受と、前記一対の転がり軸受とは別部品として構成され、該一対の軸受の外輪のそれぞれが嵌め合わされる保持部材と、前記外輪を支持するオイルフィルムダンパが形成されるように前記保持部材と組み合わされる軸受ハウジングと、前記一対の軸受の内輪間に配置されて内輪間の軸線方向の距離を一定に保持する内輪スペーサと、前記外輪間に配置されて外輪間の軸線方向の距離を一定に保持する外輪スペーサとを具備し、前記外輪は、前記保持部材の前記軸線方向における両端面よりも軸線方向内側に後退しかつ前記軸線方向外側へは非拘束の状態で前記保持部材に嵌め合わされ、
前記保持部材の外周及び軸線方向両端面のそれぞれと前記軸受ハウジングとが前記オイルフィルムを形成するための隙間を介して対向している、過給機の軸受装置。 - 前記保持部材と前記外輪スペーサとが一体に形成されている請求項1に記載の軸受装置。
- 前記保持部材と前記外輪スペーサとが互いに別部品として形成され、軸線方向に相対変位不能に組み合わされている請求項1に記載の軸受装置。
- 前記過給機がターボチャージャであり、タービンロータ側の転がり軸受と該タービンロータとの間には前記回転軸と一体回転可能なスリンガが配置され、前記スリンガには円筒部と該円筒部から半径方向外周に突出するフィンとが設けられ、前記タービンロータ側における前記保持部材の軸線方向端面と前記軸受ハウジングとの隙間が前記円筒部上に位置している請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の軸受装置。
- 前記転がり軸受に予圧が付与されないように、前記内輪スペーサ及び前記外輪スペーサのそれぞれの軸線方向の寸法が設定されている請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の軸受装置。
