Description
本発明は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれている、「A Two-Step Method of Coating an Article for Security Printing」という名称の2005年7月20日に出願した米国特許仮出願第60/700994号の優先権を主張する。
磁界を使用して、磁界の力線に沿って、コーティング内でフレークを配向させて、基板に第1の磁性コーティングを塗布する工程、および第1のコーティングが硬化した後、続いて、第1のコーティングの上に第2の磁性コーティングを塗布し、磁界を使用して、磁界の力線に沿って、第2のコーティング内のフレークを配向させる工程である。

第1のコーティングが硬化した後、続いて、第1のコーティングの上に第2の磁性コーティングを塗布し、第2の磁界を使用して、第2の磁界に依存して、第2のコーティング内のフレークを配向させる工程、および
第2の磁性コーティングが硬化するのを可能にする工程である。
第1のコーティング上に、または基板の第2の面の上に第2の光学効果コーティングを塗布し、両方のコーティングの効果または複合効果が、基板の少なくとも片面から見られることが可能であることにより、イメージを形成する方法を提供する。
Claims (7)
- 物品をコーティングする方法であって、
基板の第1の面に第1の磁性コーティングを塗布し、第1の磁界を使用して、見る人が第1の光学効果を経験するように前記第1のコーティング内の磁性フレークを磁界の力線に沿って配向させる工程と、
前記第1のコーティングが硬化した後、続いて、前記第1のコーティングの上に、または前記基板の第2の面の上に、第2の磁性コーティングを塗布し、第2の磁界を使用して、前記見る人が第2の光学効果を経験するように前記第2のコーティング内の磁性フレークを磁界の力線に沿って配向させる工程とを含み、
前記第1の光学効果が前記第2の光学効果と異なるように前記第1および第2の磁界が互いに異なる、方法。 - 前記磁界は、異なる界発生装置によって生じさせられる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のコーティングおよび前記第2のコーティングの一方は、濃度が異なる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 2段階の製造プロセスが利用される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のコーティングおよび前記第2のコーティングは、溝を有する回折磁性顔料を含み、前記第1のコーティングの中の回折磁性顔料の溝配向は、前記第2のコーティングの中の回折磁性顔料の溝配向とは異なる請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のコーティングまたは前記第2のコーティングは、色が変わる磁性顔料を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のコーティングまたは前記第2のコーティングは、反射磁性顔料を含む請求項1に記載の方法。
