Description
図1は、この発明による変換アダプタの使用状態を示す図である。図1を参照して、充電ケーブル10は、電気自動車やハイブリッド車両等の電動車両(図示せず、以下同じ。)に搭載された二次電池やキャパシタ等の蓄電装置を車両外部の電源から充電するためのケーブルである。この充電ケーブル10は、米国のSAEや日本電動車両協会等において定められた規格に準拠したものである。
実施の形態1では、ケーブル接続信号PISWに応じてスイッチ70を操作し、パイロット信号CPLTの電位を操作するものとしたが、パイロット信号CPLTの有無に応じてスイッチ70を操作してもよい。すなわち、パイロット信号CPLTが検出されると、電源90に接続された充電ケーブル10に変換アダプタ20が接続されたものと判断して、スイッチ70がオンされる。
実施の形態2では、変換アダプタに過電流検出機能が設けられ、過電流が検出されると、充電ケーブル10のリレーRY1をオフさせる構成が示される。
この実施の形態3では、変換アダプタ内の電力線にもリレーが設けられる。
図11は、実施の形態4における充電ケーブルおよび変換アダプタの構成を示す図である。図11を参照して、充電ケーブル10Aは、図4に示した充電ケーブル10の構成において、CCID14を備えない構成から成る。すなわち、この充電ケーブル10Aには、電力を遮断可能なリレーが設けられていない。
この実施の形態5では、利用者が操作可能なスイッチが変換アダプタに設けられ、このスイッチがオンされないと、充電ケーブル10のリレーRY1がオンしない。言い換えると、充電ケーブル10に変換アダプタが接続された状態で、利用者は、変換アダプタに設けられたスイッチにより充電ケーブル10のリレーRY1をオン/オフできる。
Claims (8)
- 電動車両に搭載された蓄電装置を車両外部の電源から充電するための規格化された充電ケーブル(10)を地域毎に規格化されたプラグ形状を有する電気負荷へ送電する汎用ケーブルとして利用可能にするためのプラグ変換アダプタであって、前記充電ケーブルは、前記電動車両に搭載される制御装置により操作可能に構成された電力遮断装置(14)を含み、
前記充電ケーブルのコネクタに接続可能に構成された第1の接続部(22)と、
前記電気負荷のプラグを接続可能に構成された第2の接続部(24)と、
前記充電ケーブルのコネクタが前記第1の接続部に接続されると、非遮断状態に前記電力遮断装置を操作する操作部(60)とを備えるプラグ変換アダプタ。 - 前記電力遮断装置は、
電力線に設けられるリレー(RY1)と、
規格化されたパイロット信号(CPLT)を生成して前記充電ケーブルを介して前記電動車両へ出力可能に構成されたEVSE制御装置(50)とを含み、
前記操作部は、
前記パイロット信号が伝送されるコントロールパイロット線(L2)に接続され、前記パイロット信号の電位を変更可能に構成された抵抗回路(65)と、
前記充電ケーブルのコネクタが前記第1の接続部に接続されると、非接続時に対して前記パイロット信号の電位を変更するように前記抵抗回路を制御する制御部(72)とを含み、
前記EVSE制御装置は、前記充電ケーブルのコネクタが前記第1の接続部に接続されたことに伴なう前記パイロット信号の電位変化を検知すると、前記リレーをオンさせる、請求の範囲1に記載のプラグ変換アダプタ。 - 前記充電ケーブルは、前記コネクタの接続状態を示す接続信号(PISW)を生成する信号生成部(46)をさらに含み、
前記制御部は、前記接続信号を受け、その受けた接続信号に基づいて、前記充電ケーブルのコネクタが前記第1の接続部に接続されたか否かを判定する、請求の範囲2に記載のプラグ変換アダプタ。 - 前記制御部は、前記パイロット信号の有無に基づいて、前記充電ケーブルのコネクタが前記第1の接続部に接続されたか否かを判定する、請求の範囲2に記載のプラグ変換アダプタ。
- 前記第1の接続部から入力される電流を検出する電流検出部(78)をさらに備え、
前記操作部は、前記電流検出部により検出される電流に基づき過電流が検知されると、遮断状態に前記電力遮断装置を操作する、請求の範囲1に記載のプラグ変換アダプタ。 - 前記充電ケーブルは、前記コネクタの接続をロックするロック機構をさらに含み、
前記操作部は、前記ロック機構のロックが解除されると、遮断状態に前記電力遮断装置を操作する、請求の範囲1に記載のプラグ変換アダプタ。 - 利用者がオン/オフ操作可能なスイッチ(80)をさらに備え、
前記操作部は、前記充電ケーブルのコネクタが前記第1の接続部に接続され、かつ、前記スイッチがオンされているとき、非遮断状態に前記電力遮断装置を操作する、請求の範囲1に記載のプラグ変換アダプタ。 - 前記第1の接続部から入力される電力を遮断可能に構成されたリレー(RY2)をさらに備え、
前記操作部は、前記充電ケーブルのコネクタが前記第1の接続部に接続されると、前記リレーをオンさせる、請求の範囲1に記載のプラグ変換アダプタ。
