Description
前記チャンバー10は、前記拡散用排気管13と圧縮用排気管14とが直列状に連結されると共に、拡散用排気管13と圧縮用排気管14との内部を長手方向に二分する仕切り板16が形成され、
前記拡散用孔15は、拡散用排気管13の周側面の仕切り板16を介した対称位置で、拡散用排気管13の円周に対して30%〜60%の範囲に分布するように開穿することで燃費効率を高めるように構成した。
また、拡散用排気管13と圧縮用排気管14とが直列状に連結されたチャンバー10によると、特に、レシプロ型エンジンのパワー値及びトルク値を高め、燃費の改善効果が得られた。
更に拡散用孔15の開穿範囲は、内部排気管12の円周に対して30%〜60%の範囲に設定したときが、最も燃費の改善効果が得られたものである。

Claims (2)
- 内燃機関用排気管の途中に設けられたチャンバーと、排気管の排気口端部に連結され、複数のフィンが排気ガスの排出方向を向く螺旋状を成すように内部に配設されたテールパイプとで構成され、前記チャンバーは、排気管の側面周囲を囲むカバー体と、該カバー体に囲まれた排気管の側面に多数の拡散用孔が開穿された内部排気管とからなり、該内部排気管は、排気ガス流入側に設けられた口径の広い拡散用排気管と、排気ガス排出側に設けられた口径の狭い圧縮用排気管とで構成され、内部排気管の側面の一部側面に前記拡散用孔が開穿されたテールパイプ付き排気マフラーにおいて、
前記チャンバーは、前記拡散用排気管と圧縮用排気管とが直列状に連結されると共に、拡散用排気管と圧縮用排気管との内部を長手方向に二分する仕切り板が形成され、
前記拡散用孔は、拡散用排気管の周側面の仕切り板を介した対称位置で、拡散用排気管の円周に対して30%〜60%の範囲に分布するように開穿することで燃費効率を高めるように構成したことを特徴とするテールパイプ付き排気マフラー。 - 前記テールパイプは、前記排気管の端部から排気方向に至る径が同一の円筒形、又は排気方向に至る径が拡大するテーパー形、又は排気方向に至る径が窄む逆テーパー形に形成された請求項1記載のテールパイプ付き排気マフラー。
