Description
(a)光学バルブ若しくは液晶系タイプの電気制御された可変の光散乱を有する系、懸濁粒子系、又はホログラフィック若しくはサーモトロピック系などの電気制御されない系(a’)を含んで成り、或いは該系が、
(b)少なくとも可視領域において吸収性の少なくとも1つの吸収性部材
と関連している、可変の光学的性質を有する部材である。
(c)(以降の本明細書において反射防止コーティングと称される)可視領域において反射を防止する少なくとも1つの部材をさらに含む、可変の光学的性質を有する部材から成る。
1.任意選択の反射防止コーティング/ガラス1/(複数の)熱可塑性ポリマーシート/可変の光散乱系/(複数の)熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス2/任意選択の反射防止コーティング、あるいは、
2.任意選択の反射防止コーティング/ガラス1/(複数の)熱可塑性ポリマーシート/可変の光散乱系/(複数の)熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス2/(複数の)熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス3/任意選択の反射防止コーティング
の積層グレージング構造を有することが可能である。
3.任意選択の反射防止コーティング/ガラス1/(複数の)熱可塑性ポリマーシート/可変の光散乱系/(複数の)任意選択の保護ポリマーシート
であることができる。
これは以下の構成、即ち、
透明ガラス3/EVA4/規定済みの液晶系1/EVA5/透明ガラス2
を有する、図1に従った2つのガラス基材に基づいた積層グレージングアッセンブリである。該透明ガラス基材は、2mmの厚さを有し、PLANILUXの名称でサン−ゴバングラスによって販売されている標準的なシリカ−ソーダ−ライムガラスから作製されている。該EVA(エチレン酢酸ビニル)シートは380μmの厚さを有する。
これは例1と同じ構成の積層グレージングアッセンブリであるが、前記透明ガラス2が、VENUS VG10の名称でサン−ゴバングラスより販売されている、厚さ2.1mmの本体が着色されたガラスで置き換えられている。このVENUSガラスは以下の特徴を有する。即ち、25〜30%のTL、本明細書で用いられるガラスの場合には、(発光体D65のもとで)TLは26.6%であり、それはグレー色である。
例3は図2に従った3つのガラス構成を有する。即ち、図1の構成と比較すると、ガラス2に積層され、かつその外面上に反射防止コーティング7を備えた、厚さ4mmの透明ガラス8が追加されている。この反射防止コーティングは、以下の多層スタックから構成されている。
SnO2/SiO2/Nb2O5/Al:SiO2
例4は例3の構成を繰り返して、透明ガラス3の外面上に第2反射防止コーティング7’(図2参照)を加えている。該コーティング7’は例3のコーティング7と同一である。この例においては、ガラス基材3及び8は4mmの厚さを有する。
例5は図2に従って2つのガラスの例2の構成を繰り返すが、本体が着色されたVENUSガラス2を、厚さが5mmであり、PARSOL GRISの名称でサン−ゴバングラスにより販売されている別の本体が着色されたガラス2で置き換えている。その特徴は、TLが48.5%で色がグレーである。
例6は図2に従った3つのガラス構成であり、さらに例5の着色ガラスをガラス2として用いて、例3と同様に反射防止コーティング7を備えた4mmの透明ガラス8を加えている。
例7は例6の構成を繰り返して、透明ガラス3の外面に(例4のものと同一の)反射防止コーティング7’を加えている。この例においては、透明ガラス基材3及び8はそれぞれ4mmの厚さを有する。
この例は例2と同じ構成の積層グレージングアッセンブリであり、“ReaLook2201”と称され、Murei Dankiにより販売されている反射防止フィルム7(プラスチックフィルム)が、着色ガラス2の外面に圧延され付加されている。
この例は例5と同じ構成の積層グレージングアッセンブリであり、例8で用いられたものと同一の反射防止フィルム7が、着色ガラス2の外面に圧延され付加されている。
−用いられたガラスのタイプ及び/又は反射防止コーティングの数
−D65発光体下で測定されたその光透過率であって、オフ状態、即ち電圧を印加しない状態のTL,off、及びオン状態、即ち110Vの最大電圧が機能フィルムに印加されたときのTL,on
−着色ガラス側(図について言うと視聴者側)に関して、D65発光体下で測定されたその光反射率であって、オフ状態のRL,off、及びオン状態のRL,on
をまとめている。
Claims (13)
- ガラス又はポリカーボネートを含む第1の基材、
第1及び第2の1つ又は複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート、
光学バルブ(optical-valve)、液晶、懸濁粒子、又はホログラフィック材料を含む光散乱性部材、
ガラス又はポリカーボネートを含む第2の基材、並びに
可視光領域において反射を防止する少なくとも1つの反射防止部材
を含んで成る背面投影スクリーンであって、
前記第1の1つ又は複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシートが前記第1の基材に接触し、
前記第2の1つ又は複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシートが前記第2の基材に接触し、
前記光散乱性部材が前記第1の1つ又は複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシートと前記第2の1つ又は複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシートの間に配置され、
前記第1及び第2の基材のうち少なくとも一方が、少なくとも可視光領域において光吸収性の光吸収性部材であり、かつ着色されたガラス、着色されたポリカーボネート、一方の面上に1μm未満の厚さを有する光吸収性薄層が配置されたガラス、又は一方の面上に1μm未満の厚さを有する光吸収性薄層が配置されたポリカーボネートのうちの少なくとも1つから選択されるか、あるいは前記第1又は第2の熱可塑性ポリマーシートが光吸収性の光吸収性部材でありかつ着色され、そして
前記背面投影スクリーンが電気制御されるエレクトロクロミック素子を含まないことを特徴とする、背面投影スクリーン。 - 前記光散乱性部材が、液晶の液滴を媒体中に分散させたフィルムと、それぞれ電極を備えた2枚の保護シートとを含んで成る液晶部材であって、前記フィルムが前記2枚の保護シートの間に配置されたことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 前記保護シートが本質的に透明であり、ポリエチレンテレフタレートから成ることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 前記光吸収性部材の組み合せが、前記背面投影スクリーンの光吸収率ALを全体として少なくとも5%増加させ、及び/又は前記背面投影スクリーンの光反射率RLを全体として少なくとも5%低下させることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 前記第1及び第2の基材のうち少なくとも一方が1〜8mmの厚さを有する着色されたガラスであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 前記光吸収性部材がポリビニルブチラール(PVB)、ポリウレタン(PU)又はエチレン酢酸ビニル(EVA)の着色された第1又は第2の熱可塑性シートであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 前記着色されたガラスがグレーの透過色を有することを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 前記光吸収性薄層が鉄、クロム及び/若しくはニッケルの酸化物、又はNi、Cr、Ni−Cr、鋼、銀、金、銅、インコネル合金から成る層であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 前記反射防止部材が、SnO 2 、Si 3 N 4 、TiO 2 、Nb 2 O 5 、AlN、ZnOから成る高屈折率層と、SiO 2 、Al 2 O 3 又はそれらの混合物から成る低屈折率層との交互配列(高屈折率層/低屈折率層)n (式中n≧1)、又は前記高屈折率層を構成する材料と前記低屈折率層を構成する材料の混合物若しくはSiONから成る単一層であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 前記反射防止部材が以下の多層スタック、即ち、
Si3N4又はSnO2/SiO2/Si3N4又はNb2O5/SiO2
を含んで成ることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の背面投影スクリーン。 - 前記反射防止部材が、反射防止処理されたポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルム、若しくはトリアセチルセルロースフィルムを用いた反射防止フィルムであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
- 以下の構造、即ち、
反射防止コーティング/ガラス1/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/光散乱性部材/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス2/任意選択の反射防止コーティング、又は、任意選択の反射防止コーティング/ガラス1/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/光散乱性部材/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス2/反射防止コーティング
を有し、前記ガラス1及び前記ガラス2のうち少なくとも一方が、着色されたガラス又は一方の面上に1μm未満の厚さを有する光吸収性薄層が配置されたガラスであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜11の何れか1項に記載の背面投影スクリーン。 - 前記背面投影スクリーンが追加のガラスと追加の1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシートを含み、以下の構造、即ち、
反射防止コーティング/ガラス1/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/光散乱性部材/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス2/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス3/任意選択の反射防止コーティング、又は、任意選択の反射防止コーティング/ガラス1/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/光散乱性部材/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス2/1つ若しくは複数の熱可塑性ポリマーシート/ガラス3/反射防止コーティング
を有し、前記ガラス1、前記ガラス2及び前記ガラス3のうち少なくとも1つが、着色されたガラス又は一方の面上に1μm未満の厚さを有する光吸収性薄層が配置されたガラスであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜11の何れか1項に記載の背面投影スクリーン。
