Description
Claims (18)
- 光学媒体の盗難を抑止する方法であって:
前記光媒体にデータを符号化するステップと;
感光材が第一の相にある間前記符号化されたデータを読取不能とすることで前記光媒体の盗難を抑止するように、前記光媒体の基板表面を当初は前記第一の相にある前記感光材によって処理するステップと;
活性化により前記感光材は前記第一の相から第二の相へ変化させられ、前記感光材が前記第二の相にある間前記符号化されたデータが読取可能となり、そして前記感光材は、前記活性化の後は永久的に前記第二の相を維持するように、前記光媒体の販売時点に先立って予決定された波長を持つ光源を用いて前記感光材を活性化するステップと;
を備える方法。 - 前記処理は、前記基板表面内への前記感光材の取付けを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記処理は、前記基板表面の少なくとも一部を覆うように薄膜内で前記感光材を挿入することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記処理は、前記基板表面と第二の基板との間に前記感光材を挿入することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記活性化は、前記感光材が1つ以上の光の波長のエネルギーを吸収して前記第一の相から前記第二の相に変化するまで前記基板表面を前記光源に露光させることを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の相はアモルファス状態であり、前記第二の相は結晶状態であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記活性化は、前記光媒体が収納された透明または半透明の容器を透過して行われることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記光媒体は、前記第一の相にある間は従来の光媒体再生機によって読取不能であり、前記第二の相にある間は従来の光媒体再生機によって読取可能であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記光源は、水銀に基づく光源であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、活性化されるまで読取不能であることを示すラベルを前記光媒体に付すステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 光媒体のディスクであって、データを符号化する基板表面と、前記基板表面は当初は第一の相にある感光材によって処理されることと、前記感光材が第一の相にある間は前記符号化されたデータを読取不能とすることで前記光媒体の盗難を抑止することと、前記光媒体の販売時点に先立って前記感光材は予決定された波長を持つ光源へ露光されたときに前記第一の相から前記第二の相へ変化させられることと、前記符号化されたデータは前記感光材が第二の相にある場合に読取可能であることと、前記感光材は、前記光源に露光された後は永久的に前記第二の相を維持することと、を備えるディスク。
- 前記感光材は、前記基板表面内に取付けられることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の光媒体ディスク。
- 前記感光材は、前記基板表面の少なくとも一部を覆う薄膜内に挿入されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の光媒体ディスク。
- 前記感光材は、前記基板表面と第二の基板との間に挿入されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の光媒体ディスク。
- 前記感光材は、1つ以上の光の波長からエネルギーを吸収して前記第一の相から前記第二の相に変化するまで前記光源に露光されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の光媒体ディスク。
- 前記第一の相はアモルファス状態であり、前記第二の相は結晶状態であることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の光媒体ディスク。
- 前記光媒体は、前記第一の相にある間は従来の光媒体再生機によって読取不能であり、前記第二の相にある間は従来の光媒体再生機によって読取可能であることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の光媒体ディスク。
- さらに、前記光媒体ディスクの少なくとも1つに貼付されるラベルと、前記光媒体ディスクを収納する容器と、前記ラベルは前記光媒体ディスクが活性化されるまで読取不能であることを示すことと、を備える請求項11に記載の光媒体ディスク。
