Claims (4)
- アクティブマトリクス基板及びカラーフィルタ基板を備えた表示パネルと、前記表示パネルの照光手段と、外光の明るさを検出する光センサと、前記光センサの出力に基づいて前記照光手段の発光強度を制御する制御部と、を備えた表示装置において、
前記カラーフィルタ基板のそれぞれの前記光センサに対向する位置に設けられ、入射光の波長に応じた分光透過率を有する偏光フィルタ層と、
前記偏光フィルタ層に重ねて設けられ、前記表示パネルの表示領域上にそれぞれの画素に対応して形成される色からなるカラーフィルタ層と、
を有する表示装置。 - 前記カラーフィルタ層の色は、前記表示パネルの表示領域上にそれぞれの画素に対応して形成される色のいずれか一色である請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記照光手段はバックライト又はサイドライトであり、前記表示装置は透過型又は半透過型液晶表示装置である請求項1または2のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
- 前記照光手段はフロントライトであり、前記表示装置は反射型液晶表示装置である請求項1または2のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
