Description
図1は本発明の実施の形態に係る研削砥石の例を示すものであり、(a)は一部切欠正面図、(b)は平面図である。また、図2は砥石表面の拡大図、図3は島状領域の形状を示す説明図、図4(a)〜(c)は島状領域内の砥粒の配列状態を示す説明図である。

Claims (3)
- ダイヤモンド砥粒、cBN砥粒などの砥粒を台金に一層配列してろう付けにより固着した研削砥石であって、前記砥粒の複数個を密接配置した島状領域の形状を、長方形の両短辺側に半円形が付いた両端半円長方形とし、その両端半円長方形の島状領域を、前記台金における研削方向に沿って所定間隔で複数個、および研削方向に対して直交する方向に沿って所定間隔で複数列配置し、かつ、前記島状領域の両端半円長方形を前記研削方向に投影したときに隣接する列の島状領域の両端半円長方形の端部が一部重なるようにし、その重なりの長さを、砥粒径の0.5〜1.0倍とし、前記島状領域の幅を砥粒径の1.5〜2.0倍にしたことを特徴とする研削砥石。
- 前記島状領域の両端半円長方形の長さ方向の向きが、同じ列では同じ向きに傾くようにし、隣り合う列は逆向きの傾きとなるようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の研削砥石。
- 前記島状領域の両端半円長方形の傾きを、前記台金の研削方向に対して30〜60°としたことを特徴とする請求項2記載の研削砥石。
