Description
本出願は、2004年11月17日に提出された米国特許仮出願60/628837号に対する15U.S.C.119(e)の下での優先権を主張するものであり、その教示は、本明細書に盛り込まれる。
Claims (17)
- フィルムグレインのパターンを形成する方法であって、
(a)ガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行することで得られたビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを取得するステップと、
(b)取得されたビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットに周波数フィルタリングを施すステップと、
(c)周波数フィルタリングが施された変換係数に整数の逆離散コサイン変換であるビットアキュレートな逆変換を実行して、フィルムグレインのパターンを得るステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記ステップ(a)〜(c)は、予め決定されたフィルムグレインのサイズ及び形状について繰り返される、
請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記フィルムグレインのパターンをデータベースに記憶するステップ(d)を更に含む、
請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記ステップ(a)〜(d)は、予め決定されたフィルムグレインのサイズ及び形状について繰り返される、
請求項3記載の方法。 - 前記フィルムグレインパターンをスケーリングするステップを更に含む、
請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記ビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを取得するするステップは、データベースから、ガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行することで得られた整数の離散コサイン変換された係数のセットを読み取るステップを含む、
請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記ビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを取得するステップは、予め決定されたフィルムグレインのサイズ及び形状について、データベースから、ガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行することで得られた整数の離散コサイン変換係数のセットを読み取るステップを含む、
請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記ビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを取得するステップは、
前記ガウス性のランダム数の画像を生成するステップと、
生成されたガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行するステップと、
を含む請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記ビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを取得するステップは、
(i)前記ガウス性のランダム数の画像を生成するステップと、
(ii)生成されたガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行するステップと、
(iii)予め決定されたフィルムグレインのサイズ及び形状についてステップ(i)及び(ii)を繰り返すステップと、
を含む請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記周波数フィルタリングを行うステップは、所望のフィルムグレインパターンを特徴づけるフィルタの2次元における遮断周波数を表す予め定義された遮断周波数のセットを使用する、
請求項1記載の方法。 - (a)ガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行することで得られたビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを取得し、(b)取得されたビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットに周波数フィルタリングを施し、及び(c)周波数フィルタリングが施された変換係数に整数の逆離散コサイン変換であるビットアキュレートな逆変換を実行して、フィルムグレインパターンを得ることで、フィルムグレインのパターンを形成するプロセッサ又は専用のロジック回路のうちの1つを有する、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記フィルムグレインのパターンを記憶する第一のメモリを更に有する、
請求項11記載の装置。 - 整数の離散コサイン変換係数の少なくとも1つのセットを記憶する第二のメモリを更に有する、
請求項11記載の装置。 - 整数の離散コサイン変換係数の複数のセットを記憶する第二のメモリを更に有する、
請求項12記載の装置。 - 前記ガウス性のランダム数の画像を生成するガウス性ランダム発生器と、
生成されたガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行することで、ビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを得る手段と、
を更に有する請求項11記載の装置。 - 前記ガウス性のランダム数の画像を記憶する第二のメモリと、
前記第二のメモリに記憶されているガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行して、ビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを得る手段と、
を更に有する請求項11記載の装置。 - フィルムグレインのパターンを形成する装置であって、
ガウス性のランダム数の画像に整数の離散コサイン変換を実行することで得られたビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットを取得する手段と、
取得されたビットアキュレートな変換係数のセットに周波数フィルタリングを施す手段と、
周波数フィルタリングが施された変換係数に整数の逆離散コサイン変換であるビットアキュレートな逆変換を実行して、フィルムグレインパターンを得る手段と、
を有することを特徴とする装置。
