Description
本発明は、中和されたエチレン−アクリル酸ポリマ分散液と、電子写真及びデジタルオフセット印刷アプリケーションの受像用基体を調製するためのこの分散液の使用に関する。
インディゴ液体トナーオフセット印刷は、電子写真印刷とオフセット印刷を混成したものである。電子写真印刷は、一般的に感光体ドラムを充電するステップと、感光体表面の画像又はテキストエリアをレーザースキャニングするステップと、充電したトナー粒子を感光体ドラムの画像表面に添着させて、ラテント画像を現像するステップと、感光体ドラムから紙等の充電した基体にトナー画像を転写するステップと、最終的に、熱と圧力で紙の表面にトナー粒子を融着させるステップと、を含む。オフセット印刷は、単に版シリンダ上の始点から最終的な基体(即ち、紙)にインク又はトナー画像を転写する中間ブランケットシリンダがあることを意味している。
実施例では、本発明は、一又はそれ以上のエチレン−アクリル酸ポリマと、有効分散量の一又はそれ以上のN,N−ジアルキルアルカノールアミンを具える水性分散液である。
本発明のエチレン−アクリル酸ポリマは、エチレンと、アクリル酸と、選択的に一又はそれ以上の追加のエチレン含有不飽和モノマのフリーラジカル重合によって調製される。米国特許第6,482,886号及び第5,387,635号、及びその引用文献参照。典型的な添加モノマは、メタクリル酸、マレイン酸及びその無水物、イタコン酸、フマル酸、クロトン酸、及びシトラコン酸及びその無水物、マレイン酸水素メチル、マレイン酸水素エチル、プロピレン、ブテン、イソブテン、ブタジエン、イソプレン、スチレン、α−メチルスチレン、t−ブチルスチレン、アクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸メチル、メタクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸イソブチル、及びフマル酸メチル、酢酸ビニル、プロピオン酸ビニル、安息香酸ビニル、塩化ビニル及び塩化ビニリデン、アクリルアミド、アクリロニトリル、メタクリロニトリル、フマロニトリル等を含む。

代表的なコーティング調製
1例4の方法によって調製した水性エチレン−アクリル酸ポリマ分散液。
2アイオワ州シーダーラピッズ所在のPenford Products社によって製造販売されているエチレン化澱粉。
インディゴデジタルオフセット印刷品質評価。
Claims (3)
- 一種以上のエチレン−アクリル酸ポリマ、及びアクリル酸モノマに対して0.2モル当量以上1.4モル当量以下の一種以上のN,N−ジアルキルアルカノールアミンを含み、
平均粒子径が100nm未満の分散固体を含むことを特徴とする、電子写真印刷又はデジタルオフセット印刷の受像基体調製用水性分散液(ただし、カーボンブラックを含む場合を除く。)。 - 電子写真印刷又はデジタルオフセット印刷の受像基体調製用エチレン−アクリル酸ポリマ水性分散液(ただし、カーボンブラックを含む場合を除く。)の製造方法であって、
一種以上のエチレン−アクリル酸ポリマと、アクリル酸モノマに対して0.2モル当量以上1.4モル当量以下の一種以上のN,N−ジアルキルアルカノールアミンとを、水性媒質中に混合する工程を有し、
前記水性分散液は平均粒子径が100nm未満の分散固体を含む、
エチレン−アクリル酸ポリマ水性分散液の製造方法。 - 一種以上のエチレン−アクリル酸ポリマと、アクリル酸モノマに対して0.2当量以上1.4当量以下の一種以上のN,N−ジアルキルアルカノールアミンとを含む電子写真印刷又はデジタルオフセット印刷の受像基体調製用水性分散液(ただし、カーボンブラックを含む場合を除く。)を基体に塗布するステップを具え、
前記水性分散液が、平均粒子径が100nm未満の分散固体を含む、
電子写真又はデジタルオフセット印刷プロセス用基体の製造方法。
