Claims (2)
- 車両前部に配設されると共に車幅方向に延在する剛性の高い構造部材を有すると共に、該構造部材から、少なくとも車両前後方向に離間して中央に配置される衝突判断ユニットを設けた車両のエアバッグ展開制御装置であって、
前記衝突判断ユニットには、前記車両の前記構造部材への衝突時に発生する加速度を、衝突初期は、衝突の形態によらず衝突速度の差が大きくなるにしたがって、大きな加速度信号を発生する加速度信号発生手段と、
前記加速度信号に対して第1閾値および当該第1閾値より大なる第2閾値を設定する閾値設定手段と、
衝突初期に発生した前記加速度信号が前記第1閾値から前記第2閾値に達するまでの時間tを計測する計測手段と、
前記時間tの計測結果からエアバッグの展開形態を決定する判定手段とを有することを特徴とするエアバッグ展開制御装置。 - 前記計測手段は、前記加速度信号波形が前記第1閾値を越えた後、前記第2閾値に達する前に前記第1閾値以下に下降したときは、前記第1閾値を越えた当該時間を基準にして計測を行い、再上昇のときに前記第1閾値を通過する時間は計測基準としないことを特徴とする請求項1記載のエアバッグ展開制御装置。
