Abstract
【解決手段】車室106の前後方向および車幅方向のほぼ中央部(シフトレバー付近)には、加速度センサ2が組み込まれた衝突判断ユニット1が配置されている。加速度センサ2から出力される信号波形曲線が第1閾値TH1から第2閾値TH2に達するまでの時間tを計測し、時間tが予め設定した時間s(例えば2.5ms)以内であるか否かを判定し、t>sのときは高速条件(加速度の傾きが鋭い)と判断して2個のインフレータを作動させるフル展開を選択し、t<sのときは高速条件でない(加速度の傾きが緩い)と判断して1個のインフレータを作動させるデパワー展開を選択する。

Claims (2)
- 車両前部に配設されると共に車幅方向に延在する剛性の高い構造部材を有する車両のエアバッグ展開制御装置であって、
前記車両の衝突時に加速度信号を発生する加速度信号発生手段と、
前記加速度信号に対して第1閾値および当該第1閾値より大なる第2閾値を設定する閾値設定手段と、
衝突初期に発生した前記加速度信号が前記第1閾値から前記第2閾値に達するまでの時間tを計測する計測手段と、
前記時間tの計測結果からエアバッグの展開形態を決定する判定手段
とを有することを特徴とするエアバッグ展開制御装置。 - 前記計測手段は、前記加速度信号波形が前記第1閾値を越えた後、前記第2閾値に達する前に前記第1閾値以下に下降したときは、前記第1閾値を越えた当該時間を基準にして計測を行い、再上昇のときに前記第1閾値を通過する時間は計測基準としないことを特徴とする請求項1記載のエアバッグ展開制御装置。
