Claims (2)
- それぞれ内部に蛍光体層が形成されると共に放電ガスが封入された複数のプラズマ・チューブが並置され、前記複数のプラズマ・チューブの表示面側に前記プラズマ・チューブの長手方向と交差する方向に延びる複数の表示電極対が配置され、各プラズマ・チューブの背面側の長手方向に沿ってそれぞれ信号電極が配置されたプラズマ・チューブ・アレイ型の表示装置であって、
前記複数の表示電極対のうちの一方の表示電極は、プラズマ・チューブ・アレイの一方の側縁において最外側プラズマ・チューブと実質的に同じ長さで実質的に平行に延びる第1の共通導体に結合され、該第1の共通導体を介して第1の維持電圧供給回路に結合され、
前記複数の表示電極対のうちの他方の表示電極は、前記プラズマ・チューブ・アレイの他方の側縁において複数本ずつ複数のグループに分けた形で導出されて前記複数のグループにそれぞれ対応する複数のプリント基板にそれぞれ実装された各走査回路にそれぞれ結合され、さらに、前記複数のプリント基板の各走査回路は、前記他方の側縁において最外側プラズマ・チューブと実質的に同じ長さで実質的に平行に延びる第2および第3の共通導体に別々に結合され、前記第2の共通導体を介して第2の維持電圧供給回路に結合され、前記第3の共通導体を介して走査電圧供給回路に結合されることを特徴とする、表示装置。 - 前記表示装置は、前記複数の表示電極対が内側表面に形成された透明な前面側基板と、前記複数の信号電極が内側表面に形成された背面側基板と、を有し、
前記第1の共通導体は、前記プラズマ・チューブ・アレイの前記一方の側縁に沿った前記背面側基板の背面側部分上に設けられ、前記第2および第3の共通導体は、前記プラズマ・チューブ・アレイの前記他方の側縁に沿った前記背面側基板の背面側部分上に設けられていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
