Description
上記のことに加えて、米国特許第5,704,584号にて論じられた自由流れ防止技術には難点がある。閉塞機構は良好に機能するが、注入装置を通る流れを選択的に停止させるために別個の機構を形成することは比較的コスト高である。図1Bに図示されたような別個の挟みクリップは、注入装置のコストを15乃至20%増大させる可能性がある。1つの装置当たりのコストはかなり僅かではあるが、注入装置を毎日交換することから、累積してかなりのコストとなる。極めて競争の激しい医療分野において、1つの装置当たり数セントであっても、販売数量に劇的な影響を与える可能性がある。(特許文献2参照)
このように、圧力の監視、空気の検知及び流れの閉塞を改良することを可能にする機構が必要とされている。かかる機構は、比較的経済的で且つポンプ及び注入装置を使用する際の間違いの発生を減少させるものでなければならない。更に、かかる機構は、多岐に亙る材料で出来た注入装置を使用することを可能にするものでなければならない。
本発明の別の目的は、光センサ装置により粘度及び閉塞の監視を容易にする、上記の如き機構を提供することである。
本発明の別の目的は、注入装置を通る流体の流れがポンプによって駆動されない限り、注入装置を通る自由流れを防止する機構を提供することである。
注入装置の上流部分、下流部分及びポンプ係合部分に取り付け得る形態とされた供給装置のアダプタの特定の図示した実施の形態にて本発明の上記及びその他の目的が実現される。
次に、本発明の色々な要素を所定の参照番号で表示し、また、当業者が本発明を実施し且つ使用することを可能にし得るように本発明に関して説明する図面について以下に説明する。以下の説明は、本発明の原理の単に一例にしか過ぎず、特許請求の範囲を限定するものと見なすべきではないことを理解すべきである。

Claims (18)
- 注入ポンプ(320)に取り付ける形態とされた供給装置用アダプタ(100)であって、
注入装置の流入チューブ(314)と注入装置の中央ポンプ係合チューブ(200)とに取り付ける形態とされた第一のコネクタ(108)と、
前記第一のコネクタと連通状態に配置された自由流れ防止機構(300)と、
内部の気泡を光学的に検知し得る形態とされたサンプルセル(124)と、を含み、
前記サンプルセルが基部(464)を備え、当該基部は、前記サンプルセルが光信号送信器(444)と光信号検知器(448)との間に配置されたときに、同サンプルセルが空気又は液体で満たされているかどうかに関係なく、前記光信号送信器により放出された光を前記光信号検知器まで導くような形態とされている、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項1に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記ポンプ係合チューブ(200)及び注入装置の流出チューブ(318)に取り付ける形態とされた第二のコネクタ(112)を更に備えている、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項1に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記自由流れ防止機構が、前記第一のコネクタに取り付けられ且つ当該第一のコネクタから隔てられている、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項1に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記自由流れ防止機構が、注入装置のチューブ(200)内に配置し得る形態とされた概してボール形状部材(304)を含んでいる、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項1に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
流入チューブ(314)と、ポンプ係合部分(200)と、供給装置用アダプタに取り付けられた流出チューブ(318)とを更に備える、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項5に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記自由流れ防止機構(300)の外径が、注入装置のポンプ係合部分(200)の内径よりも僅かに大きい、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項5に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記ポンプ係合部分が、注入装置内の圧力を光学的に監視する少なくとも1つの監視部分(234,260)を備える、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項7に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記ポンプ係合部分が、少なくとも1つの当接部材(212,220,240,250)を更に備え、同当接部材は、圧送機構によりポンプ係合部分が作動されたとき、当該供給装置用アダプタと係合して前記監視部分の移動を最小にし得るようにした、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項7に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記監視部分内の圧力を判定し得るように前記監視部分に隣接して配置された光センサ(400,400’)を更に備え、当該光センサが、光信号送信器(404)と、光信号検知器(408)とを備え、前記監視部分(234,260)の少なくとも一部分が光信号送信器と光信号検知器との間に配置されている、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項9に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記監視部分が、前記光信号送信器と前記光信号検知器との間に配置され、当該監視部分が、常に、前記光信号送信器と前記光信号検知器との間にて一部の光の流れを遮断し、常に、前記光信号送信器と前記光信号検知器との間で一部の光が流れるのを許容するようにした、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項8に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記少なくとも1つのチューブ係合部材(130,150,170,186)を更に備えており、該チューブ係合部材が凹所を画成し、前記当接部材(212,220,240,250)が、前記凹所内に載置し得る形態とされたカラーを備え、前記少なくとも1つのチューブ係合部材が、前記監視部分(234,260)がその間に伸びる状態で互いに隣接して配置された第一のチューブ係合部材と、第二のチューブ係合部材とを備えている、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項11に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記少なくとも1つのチューブ係合部材及び少なくとも1つの監視部分が、第一の監視部分と、ポンプロータの上流に配置し得る形態とされた少なくとも1つのチューブ係合部と、第二の監視部分と、ポンプロータの下流に配置し得る形態とされた少なくとも1つのチューブ係合部材とを備えている、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項1に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記サンプルセルが、互いに約45乃至100゜の範囲の角度に配置された一対の側壁を有している、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項13に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記サンプルセルが、互いに約50乃至60゜の範囲の角度に配置された少なくとも2つの側部を有する導管(120)を画成している、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項14に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記導管(120)が正三角形である断面を有している、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項1に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記ポンプ係合チューブ(200)及び注入装置の流出チューブ(318)に取り付ける形態とされた第二のコネクタ(112)を更に備え、前記サンプルセル(124)が前記第二のコネクタの内部に配置されている、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 請求項1に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
前記サンプルセル(124)が、一点に向けて延びている外壁と、該一点から外方に延び且つ光が最小の屈折状態で内部を通って流れるのを許容し得るよう配置された概して直線状の基部(464)とを有している、供給装置用アダプタ。 - 注入装置16に記載の供給装置用アダプタであって、
第一のコネクタ(108)及び第二のコネクタ(112)が互いに一体に形成されている、供給装置用アダプタ。
