Description
(a)ウェブの少なくとも1つの側の区域を放射で照光するステップと、
(b)照光された区域の少なくとも1つのデジタル画像を取得するステップと、
(c)少なくとも1つのデジタル画像を勾配演算子で処理し、それによって画像内の観察された繊維配向角の分布を解析することによってウェブの繊維配向を計算するステップと
を含む。
移動中のウェブ上の照光された区域の少なくとも1つのデジタル画像を取得するための画像取得手段と、
少なくとも1つのデジタル画像を勾配演算子で処理することによってウェブの繊維配向を計算するための制御手段と
を含む。
繊維配向異方性指数は式11に定義される。Aは長軸の長さであり、Bは短軸の長さである(図12参照)。サンプルが等方性の場合、分布は円であり、A=Bおよびe=0である。すべての繊維が完全に整列している場合、Aは大きく、B〜0およびe=1である。最終的に、統計的な繊維配向は、繊維が特定の角で配向される確率である。そのようなもののサンプルのグラフは、本明細書で説明されるように、図11に与えられる。
Claims (3)
- 製紙プロセスにおいて形成される移動中のウェブ(10)の繊維配向を測定する方法であって、
(a)前記ウェブ(10)の少なくとも1つの側の区域(16)を放射で照光するステップと、
(b)前記照光された区域(16)の少なくとも1つのデジタル画像を取得するステップと、を有し、前記デジタル画像は、画像検出器を採用することにより前記移動中のウェブの繊維を識別することが可能になる程度に十分な画像スケールを備え、前記画像検出器の1画素が20マイクロメートルから40マイクロメートルの範囲の画像スケールに相当し、
(c)前記方法はさらに、少なくとも1つのデジタル画像を非整数次数の勾配演算子で処理することによって、前記ウェブ(10)の前記繊維配向を計算するステップ、を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、各画像が複数の画素を含み、前記勾配演算子が前記画素の少なくとも1つの勾配の大きさおよび方向を生成する、方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、前記勾配演算子は、1/4から3/4の間の非整数次数を備える、方法。
