Claims (12)
- 電池ケースに、電極組立体が内蔵されてなる二次電池であって、
前記電極組立体が、正極/分離膜/負極の構造を備えてなり、
前記電池ケースが樹脂層と金属層を含むラミネートシートからなるものであり、
前記ラミネートシートが、内側樹脂層、遮断性金属層及び外側樹脂層からなり、該ラミネートシート同士が相互に接するシーリング部で、内側樹脂層同士が熱融着によって相互に結合されており、
前記内側樹脂層同士の結合部を被覆する構造で金属層同士が溶接によって相互に結合されており、該金属層同士の結合部を被覆する構造で外側樹脂層同士が熱融着または別の樹脂によって結合されてなり、
前記内側樹脂層、金属層、及び外側樹脂層の端部が、対面するラミネートシートと対称をなすように内側にテーパーし連続的な傾斜面を形成し、熱融着による内側樹脂層の結合、溶接による金属層の結合、及び熱融着による外側樹脂層の結合時に、前記端部傾斜面を内側樹脂層方向に折り曲げてなるものである、二次電池。 - 前記外側樹脂層が、高分子樹脂として、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)又は延伸ナイロンフィルムを含有してなり、
前記内側樹脂層が、高分子樹脂として、ポリオレフィン系樹脂を含有してなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記外側樹脂層の高分子樹脂が、延伸ナイロンを含有してなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記内側樹脂層の高分子樹脂が、無延伸ポリプロピレンを含有してなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記金属層と内側樹脂層との間に、接着層がさらに形成されてなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記外側樹脂層の厚さが5〜40μmであり、
前記金属層の厚さが20〜150μmであり、
前記内側樹脂層の厚さが10〜100μmである、請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 相互に結合する前の前記金属層の端部が、相互に結合する前の内側樹脂層の厚さ以上の長さで延びている、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 相互に結合する前の前記金属層の端部が、相互に結合する前の内側樹脂層厚さの120〜200%の長さで延びている、請求項7に記載の二次電池。
- 前記金属層同士の結合が、レーザー溶接で達成される、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記外側樹脂層同士の結合が、
ラミネートシートの結合された端部に熱加圧圧縮を行った後、圧縮された外側樹脂層を熱溶融させることによって互いに結合させる方式と、
前記外側樹脂層の端部を遮断性金属層の厚さ以上の長さで延長して形成し、該延長部位を熱融着させて互いに結合させる方式と、
別の樹脂によって結合させる方式のいずれかの方式によって達成される、請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記電池が、高出力大容量の電池または電池パック用単位電池として使用される、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池が、電気自動車またはハイブリッド電気自動車の電源として使用される、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
