Description
また、請求項3に記載の発明は、車両の周囲を撮影するカメラ(1a〜1c)と、前記カメラ(1a〜1c)が撮影した映像を前記車両のドライバに表示する表示装置(8a〜8c)と、前記車両の周囲に報知を行うための車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)と、前記カメラ(1a〜1c)が撮影した映像を前記表示装置(8a〜8c)に表示させる機能の故障を検出する故障検出手段(92)と、前記故障検出手段(92)が前記機能の故障を検出したことに基づいて、前記車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)を制御して、前記機能に故障がある旨の報知を行わせる報知制御手段(120)と、前記故障検出手段(92)が前記機能の故障を検出した場合、前記車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)が故障していれば、前記車両の運行を禁止し、また、前記車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)が正常であれば、前記車両の運行を禁止しない禁止制御手段(130〜160)と、を備えた車外映像表示システムである。
(A)左サイドカメラ1a、および、それと制御装置9とを繋ぐケーブル10a
(B)右サイドカメラ1b、および、それと制御装置9を繋ぐケーブル10b
(C)センターカメラ1c、および、それと制御装置9を繋ぐケーブル10c
(D)左サイド表示装置8a、および、それと制御装置9を繋ぐケーブル11a
(E)右サイド表示装置8b、および、それと制御装置9を繋ぐケーブル11b
(F)センター表示装置8c、および、それと制御装置9を繋ぐケーブル11c
上記(A)、(B)、または(C)における故障の有無の検出については、例えば、それぞれケーブル10a、10b、または10cから正常な映像信号(例えば、正常な範囲内の同期信号)を受けているか否かに基づいて故障の有無を検出してもよい。
以上、本発明の実施形態について説明したが、本発明の範囲は、上記実施形態のみに限定されるものではなく、本発明の各発明特定事項の機能を実現し得る種々の形態を包含するものである。

Claims (5)
- 車両の周囲を撮影する複数個のカメラ(1a〜1c)と、
前記複数個のカメラ(1a〜1c)が撮影した映像を前記車両のドライバに表示する表示装置(8a〜8c)と、
前記車両の周囲に報知を行うため、前記複数個のカメラ(1a〜1c)のそれぞれの近傍に取り付けられた複数個の車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)と、
前記複数個のカメラ(1a〜1c)のそれぞれについて、当該カメラが撮影した映像を前記表示装置(8a〜8c)に表示させる機能の故障を検出する故障検出手段(92)と、
前記故障検出手段(92)が前記機能のうちいずれかの故障を検出したことに基づいて、前記複数の車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)のうち故障を検出した機能に対応するカメラの近傍に取り付けられた車外報知器を制御して、故障がある旨の報知を行わせる報知制御手段(120)と、を備えた車外映像表示システム。 - 前記故障検出手段(92)が前記機能のうちいずれかの故障を検出した場合、前記複数の車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)のうち故障を検出した機能に対応するカメラの近傍に取り付けられた車外報知器が故障していれば、前記車両の運行を禁止し、また、前記複数の車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)が正常であれば、前記車両の運行を禁止しない禁止制御手段(130〜160)を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車外映像表示システム。
- 車両の周囲を撮影するカメラ(1a〜1c)と、
前記カメラ(1a〜1c)が撮影した映像を前記車両のドライバに表示する表示装置(8a〜8c)と、
前記車両の周囲に報知を行うための車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)と、
前記カメラ(1a〜1c)が撮影した映像を前記表示装置(8a〜8c)に表示させる機能の故障を検出する故障検出手段(92)と、
前記故障検出手段(92)が前記機能の故障を検出したことに基づいて、前記車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)を制御して、前記機能に故障がある旨の報知を行わせる報知制御手段(120)と、
前記故障検出手段(92)が前記機能の故障を検出した場合、前記車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)が故障していれば、前記車両の運行を禁止し、また、前記車外報知器(2a〜2c、3a〜3c)が正常であれば、前記車両の運行を禁止しない禁止制御手段(130〜160)と、を備えた車外映像表示システム。 - 前記機能によって前記ドライバが見ることのできる前記車両の周囲を、前記機能を用いずに前記ドライバに見せるための代替手段(4a〜4c)を備え、
前記禁止制御手段(130〜160)は、前記故障検出手段(92)が前記機能の故障を検出した場合、前記車両の運行を禁止した後、前記代替手段(4a〜4c)が使用中となったことに基づいて、前記車両の運行禁止を解除することを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載の車外映像表示システム。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれか1つに記載の車外映像表示システムを備えた車両であって、
前記機能は、前記車両のサイドミラーまたはルームミラーの代用として用いられ、
当該車両には、前記機能が代用となる対象のミラーが搭載されていないことを特徴とする車両。
