ヤマノイモ属コンプレックスは、Ayusherbs(Japan)から入手することができる。ヤマノイモ属コンプレックスを本発明の食物サプリメントに含有させる場合は、全体の必須サッカリドに対するヤマノイモ属コンプレックスの比は、質量%を基にして約0.0001/99.9999〜約50/50の範囲にすることができる。特定の実施化においては、全体の必須サッカリドに対するヤマノイモ属コンプレックスの比は、約0.01〜70/99.99〜30または約10〜40/90〜60または約20/80の範囲にある。
以下に例示した与えられた研究に使用したカプセルまたはカプレットの大きさおよび成分によって、食物サプリメントははじめに以下の通り投与した。示された使用量は、#1サイズのカプセルおよび1000〜1200mgのカプレットに基づく。
は、糖栄養物質摂取の減少の指針として使用される。有益な利点のために必要な糖栄養物質の量に関する複雑な因子は、個人が栄養物に対して有する異なる量的必要性、遺伝的特質による相違、生化学的バランス、疾患の状態、変化した生理学的状態、前のおよび現在の栄養、個々の選択および個人によって食べられる食品の栄養含量を包含する。健康における望ましい応答または改善は、失われた栄養物が本発明の食物サプリメントによって十分に補給された場合に得られる。ヒトの身体の防御、回復、再生、調節および遺伝子−調節および栄養による治癒それ自体は、これらの仕事を達成する源泉である。本発明の食物サプリメントは、普通都市/郊外の食品においてはもはや見出されない糖栄養物質を含有しており、そしてその結果、最適の生化学および生理学に対して必要な既知のおよびまだ確認されていない栄養物の最適の源を与える。
本発明による生成物に対して適当な組成物は、次の通りである。
ガラクトウロン酸、ガラクトース、フコース、キシロース、アラビノースおよびラムノースの源であるトラガントゴム(100kg)を、ステンレス鋼製リボンブレンダーに充填しそしてマンノースおよびガラクトースの源であるグアーゴム(10kg)をこのステンレス鋼製リボンブレンダーに充填する。トラガントゴムおよびグアーゴムの混合物を5分混合する。それからAerosil380TM(シリカゲル)250gを、流展剤として混合物に加えそしてグルコースの源である米粉200kgをグルテンを含有していない充填剤として加える。それから混合物を15分撹拌する。最後にステアリン酸カルシウム100gを滑沢剤として混合物に加えそして混合物をさらに3分混合してバルク粉末を形成する。それから粉末をModel 8(Elanco)カプセル充填機を使用して、250mgの充填質量でサイズ1ゼラチンカプセルに封入する。
本発明による生成物に対する他の適当な組成物は次の通りである。
Elorida Food ProductならびにAldrich Chemical CompanyおよびSigmaChemicalから入手できるガラクトース、グルコース、マンノース、N−アセチルノイラミン酸、フコース、N−アセチルガラクトサミン、N−アセチルグルコサミンおよびキシロースのそれぞれ25kgを、ステンレス鋼製リボンブレンダーに充填しそして5分混合する。それからAerosil380TM(シリカゲル)250gを流展剤として混合物に加えそしてグルコースの源である米粉200kgをグルテンを含有していない充填剤として加える。それから混合物を15分撹拌する。最後にステアリン酸カルシウム100gを、滑沢剤として混合物に加えそして混合物をさらに3分撹拌してバルク粉末を形成する。それから粉末をModel 8(Elanco)カプセル充填機を使用して、250mgの充填質量でサイズ#1ゼラチンカプセルに封入する。
標準化検定
次の検定は本発明によって包含される糖の濃度を標準化する方法を記載する。
標準品:炭水化物標準品はすべて、Aldrich Chemical Company,Milwaukee, Wisconsinから入手することができる。
溶離剤:約17MOhmより大なるまたは約17MOhmに等しい抵抗性を有する脱イオン化(DI)水
試料の製造:2N弗化水素酸2mlをねじぶたのついたテフロン(登録商標)内張した10mlの試験管中の分析される試料10mgに加える。それから、試料を120℃で1時間インキュベートして単糖に加水分解する。過剰の試薬を空気の流れ下で除去しそして試料をDI水1mlに再懸濁する。
HPLC分析:分析977.20のAOAC公認法
この実施例の食物サプリメント処方は、上記実施例によって大規模に製造した。Glyco-1と称されるこの処方は、以下に示した量で以下の成分を含有する。
注意欠陥機能亢進障害の治療における薬物−誘発副作用の減少
ADHDに対するマニュアル第4版(DSM-IV)の定義。親がメチルフェニデートを与えなかった5人の子供(NO MED)。メチルフェニデートの2つの異なる使用量の1つの使用量を与えた研究における他の12人の子供、すなわち、(a)正規の規定された使用量を与えた6人の子供(MED)および (b)減少した使用量、すなわち正規の規定された使用量以下の使用量を与えた6人の子供(MED RED)。
評価手段は、DSM-IVにおけるADHDの等級別尺度からなる:18の項目を疾患の程度に対して0−3の尺度に等級別化した。同じ尺度がDSM-IVに挙げられているOppositional Defiant Disorder(ODD)症状およびConductDisorder(CD)行動に対して構成されている。親および教師はそれぞれの評価において上記尺度を完了した。さらに親は子供に対する一般的健康項目を完了した。
結果は、Glyco-1が既にメチルフェニデート単独によって得られた上記のADHD症候の改善以上の他の改善を与えないことを示した。しかしながら、Glyco-1を被試験者に投与した場合は、メチルフェニデートによって起こる副作用の統計学的に有意な減少が得られた。それ故に、全体的な健康の改善が達成される。
Glyco-1によるアルコール中毒症の治療
この研究に使用されたGlyco-1カプセルは、実施例6によって製造した。この研究の目的は、アルコール中毒者における気分状態およびアルコールの欲求に対する食物糖栄養補充の有効性を評価するものである。
Litlle Rock, Arkansasの地方アルコール支持グループから2つのグループの被試験者、すなわち3人の回復するアルコール中毒者および2人の実際のアルコール中毒者を募集した。それぞれのアルコール中毒者は、アルコール依存症に対するDiagnostic and Statistical Manual 4th Ed.(DSM-IV)の基準を満たした。回復するグループにおいては、禁酒は2.5年〜6年11ヶ月に変化した。両方のグループにおいて、アルコール乱用の年数は15〜30年でありそして年令は33〜62である。
評価手段は0〜9に分類されるアルコールに対する欲求の自己−等級別尺度およびProfile of Mood States(POMS)からなる。POMSの65の項目は年数5つの尺度、すなわち、認識力、憂うつ、エネルギー、怒り/かんしゃくおよび積極的な見方に分類した。これらの評価は、糖栄養物質を摂取する前および再び5週間の研究の終わりに完了した。
糖栄養物質は次のようにしてそれぞれのアルコール中毒者の食物に加えた;はじめの日において体重10ポンド当り1カプセルおよびその後、試験の期間中体重20ポンド当り1カプセル。他の介入物は導入しなかった。
結果は、5人の被試験者の平均の初期アルコール欲求が統計学的に有意に減少されたことを示す。同様に結果は、すべての測定された気分状態において統計学的に有意な改善を示す。
糖栄養物質による種々な疾患の治療
以下の表はGlyco-1を、単独でまたはPhyto-1、ヤマノイモ属コンプレックスを含有するGlyco-1およびPROFILETMの1種または2種以上と組み合わせて患者に投与した場合に得られた結果を要約する。以下に示した使用量において、Glyco-1および1種または2種以上
のそれぞれのサプリメントの初期使用量を患者に与えた。
Fは糖栄養物質および薬草エキスを含有する経口用食物サプリメントを示す。
科学者は最近、糖タンパク質はすべての細胞のコミュニケーションにおいて重要な役割を果たすということを証明した。サイトカイン、すなわち細胞のこの語の多くは、結合したグリコシル部分なしには適切に機能しない。身体は植物の炭水化物のような複合多糖を種々な単糖に加水分解しそしてこれらをオリゴ糖に再構成する。それから、このオリゴ糖は細胞のコミュニケーションそしてその結果良好な健康のためにサイトカインにより要求される糖タンパク質を構築するために、身体によって使用される。

Claims (4)
- 組成物が10質量%のガッチゴム;10質量%のグルコサミン;48質量%のアラビノガラクタン;10質量%のアロエベラエキス;10質量%のトラガカントゴム;および12質量%のとうもろこし澱粉または米粉を含有する、食物サプリメント組成物。
- 食物サプリメントが防腐剤を含まない、請求項1記載の食物サプリメント組成物。
- 食物サプリメントが錠剤の形態である、請求項1記載の食物サプリメント組成物。
- 食物サプリメントが乾燥粉末の形態である、請求項1記載の食物サプリメント組成物。
