Description
従来のすず−鉛合金めっきのはんだ付け性の劣化を防止するためには、ほとんどの場合にリン酸ナトリウム溶液による変色防止処理が行われてきた。ところが、鉛フリーはんだめっきに対してリン酸ナトリウム溶液による処理を行った場合に、その効果が十分でなかったり、場合によっては悪影響さえ出るケースがあった。このため、リン酸ナトリウム溶液処理に代わる鉛フリーめっき皮膜に対する有効な変色防止処理剤の開発が望まれている。
特開2005−206860には「次の成分(a)および(b):(a)ホスホン酸、アミノアルキレンホスホン酸、ヒドロキシアルキルホスホン酸、アルカンスルホン酸、アルカノールスルホン酸、硫酸、塩酸、硝酸、リン酸またはそれらの塩から選ばれる酸成分の一種または二種以上、(b)チオ尿素、アルキルチオ尿素、フェニルチオ尿素およびアリルチオ尿素から選ばれるチオ尿素誘導体の一種または二種以上、を含有するスズまたはスズ合金めっきの変色除去・防止剤。」が開示されている。
特開2005−240093には「リン酸を含有し、所望により、有機スルホン酸を含有する水溶液にグリコールエーテルを添加してなる錫系合金めっき皮膜のリフロー後の変色防止剤。上記変色防止剤浴に錫系合金めっき皮膜を浸漬し、水洗後乾燥する処理を行うことにより、リフロー性の良好なめっき皮膜が得られ、かつリフロー後変色を起こさないめっき皮膜を得ることが可能となる。」ことが開示されている。
少なくとも下記成分(a)及び(b):
(a)ホスホン酸基が結合しているメチレン基を少なくとも2個以上有したアミノ窒素を有する化合物及びそれらの塩から選ばれる一種又は二種以上、
(b)下記(b−1)〜(b−3):
(b−1)複素環式含窒素化合物又はその塩、
(b−2)脂肪族又は芳香族のアミン、
(b−3)炭素数6〜24の直鎖又は分岐の脂肪族カルボン酸又は該カルボン酸と前記(b−2)との塩
から選ばれる化合物の一種又は二種以上を必須の成分として含有し、下記条件(c):
(c)溶液pHが7以下の酸性領域
に調整された、すず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物である。
本発明の変色防止剤組成物は、少なくとも下記成分(a)及び(b):
(a)ホスホン酸基が結合しているメチレン基を少なくとも2個以上有したアミノ窒素を有する化合物及びそれらの塩から選ばれる一種又は二種以上、
(b)下記(b−1)〜(b−3):
(b−1)複素環式含窒素化合物又はその塩、
(b−2)脂肪族又は芳香族のアミン、
(b−3)炭素数6〜24の直鎖又は分岐の脂肪族カルボン酸又は該カルボン酸と前記(b−2)との塩
から選ばれる化合物の一種又は二種以上を必須の成分として含有し、下記条件(c):
(c)溶液pHが7以下の酸性領域
に調整された変色防止剤組成物であり、すず又はすず合金表面の変色防止に適用される。もちろん、変色防止は外観上の問題だけでなく、これに起因するはんだ付け性やフュージング性等の表面機能特性の低下を防止するために適用できるものである。

を表わし、
m及びnはそれぞれ1〜3の整数である。)
で表わされるもの及びそれらの塩、例えばアルカリ金属塩、アンモニウム塩、アミン塩等が挙げられる。これらのうちでも、特に、ニトリロトリス(メチレンホスホン酸)、エチレンジアミンテトラ(メチレンホスホン酸)、エチレンジアミンペンタ(メチレンホスホン酸)及びそれらの塩類等が好適に用いられ、それらの中でも、ニトリロトリス(メチレンホスホン酸)及びそれらの塩が一層好適に用いられる。
ピラゾール類又はインダゾール類の中では、ピラゾール、3−メチルピラゾール、4−メチルピラゾール、3,5−ジメチルピラゾール、3−トリフルオロメチルピラゾール、3−アミノピラゾール、ピラゾール−4−カルボン酸、4−ブロモピラゾール、4−ヨードピラゾール、インダゾール、5−アミノインダゾール、6−アミノインダゾール、5−ニトロインダゾール、6−ニトロインダゾール等が好適に用いられ、ピラゾール、3−アミノピラゾールが一層好適に用いられる。
ピリジン類の中では、ニコチンアミド、ニコチン酸が挙げられ、極めて好適に用いられる。
上記カルボン酸、アミンあるいはそれらの塩の添加濃度は、0.1〜100g/Lが好適に用いられる。
ヒドロキシカルボン酸としては、リンゴ酸、酒石酸、クエン酸、グリコール酸、乳酸、グリセリン酸、グルコン酸が好適に用いられる。中でも溶解度の点からグルコン酸が一層好適に用いられる。加水分解によって溶液中でヒドロキシカルボン酸を生成するグルコノラクトン等を用いることもできる。
これら上記の酸類は、ナトリウムやカリウムなどのアルカリ金属塩の形で添加することもできる。
また、一層好適なpH3以下の領域を保つために、pH緩衝作用のある成分を更に添加することもできる。前述の錯化作用のあるヒドロキシカルボン酸塩を添加することによってpH緩衝作用を持たせることもできるが、更に別の緩衝剤、例えばほう酸、リン酸、酢酸等の塩類等を利用することもできる。
銅、亜鉛、銀、ビスマス、鉛から選ばれる金属の少なくとも一種とすずとの合金及びすずが一層好適に用いられる。本発明は鉛フリーはんだ付け皮膜用に発明されたものではあるが、すず−鉛系皮膜に対しても良好な効果を発揮するので、すず−鉛系皮膜に対しても極めて効果的に適用できる。
更に、めっきによって得られたそれらすず及びすず合金には一層好適に適用される。
以下の変色防止剤組成物を調合した。全て残部はイオン交換水である。
組成例1
ニトリロトリス(メチレンホスホン酸) 10g/L
トリス(2−ベンズイミダゾリルメチル)アミン 5g/L

リン酸(85%) 5g/L
ニトリロトリス(メチレンホスホン酸) 100g/L
2,2’−テトラメチレン−ジベンズイミダゾール 3g/L
ニトリロトリ酢酸 10g/L
メタンスルホン酸 5g/L
エチレンジアミンテトラ(メチレンホスホン酸)ナト 50g/L
インダゾール 1g/L
グルコン酸ナトリウム 5g/L
2−プロパノールスルホン酸にてpH3に調整。
ニトリロトリス(メチレンホスホン酸) 150g/L
ニコチン酸 20g/L
グルコン酸ナトリウム 50g/L
リン酸(85%) 5g/L
ニトリロトリス(メチレンホスホン酸) 80g/L
3−メチルピラゾール 5g/L
ニトリロトリ酢酸 10g/L

ゼラチン 2g/L
β−ナフトール 1g/L
浴温 20℃
陰極電流密度 4A/dm2
下記の組成ですず−銀合金めっき浴を建浴した。めっき条件も同時に示した。

ポリオキシエチレンポリオキシプロピレンブロックポリマー 15g/L

浴温 25℃
陰極電流密度 1A/dm2
試料片として厚さ0.3mm、10×30mmの銅板に上記めっき浴(1)〜(7)を用いて3μmのめっきを施して試験に供した。変色(=表面酸化)の度合いは、加速経時試験の前後ではんだ付け性を測定することで評価した。即ち、めっき直後の試料のはんだ付け性と、当該変色防止剤によって処理した後に加速経時試験を行った試料のはんだ付け性を比較し、変色防止剤の効果を評価した。
変色防止剤による処理は、めっき後、中和・水洗等ののち、20℃の該組成物溶液に30秒間浸漬し、水洗・乾燥を行った。
加速経時試験は、温度105℃、湿度100%RH、24時間の水蒸気エージング試験とした。
はんだ付け性は、メニスコグラフでゼロクロスタイムを測定することによって評価した。
試験片の種類が異なるため、同じめっき浴から同一条件で作成された試料について、経時試験前後のゼロクロスタイムの比をとって比較した。経時前後のはんだ付け性比較評価は、下記A〜Eに区分した。A:加速経時試験後のゼロクロスタイムの増加(はんだ付け性の劣化)が加速経時試験前と比べて30%未満である。B:同、30%以上、50%未満。C:同、50%以上、70%未満。D:同、70%以上、100%未満。E:同、100%以上。工業的操業においてCランク以上のものが実使用に耐えるレベルであり、Bランク以上が一層好ましいと考えられる。
試料の異なるめっき皮膜組成のものを比較しなければならないので、はんだ浴も6/4のすず/鉛はんだに統一し、はんだ浴温230℃とした。フラックスはwwロジンを用いた。
Claims (9)
- 少なくとも下記成分(a)及び(b):
(a)ニトリロトリス(メチレンホスホン酸)、
(b)下記(b−1)又は(b−2):
(b−1)イミダゾール類又はその塩、ピラゾール類又はその塩、ピリジン誘導体又はその塩から選択されるいずれか一種
(b−2)モルホリン、
を含有し、下記条件(c):
(c)溶液pHが7以下の酸性領域
に調整された、すず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。 - 更に、(b−3)炭素数6〜24の直鎖又は分岐の脂肪族カルボン酸又は該カルボン酸と前記(b−2)との塩を含有する請求項1に記載のすず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。
- 前記(b−3)炭素数6〜24の直鎖又は分岐の脂肪族カルボン酸がカプリル酸、カプリン酸、ラウリン酸、ステアリン酸、イソステアリン酸、オレイン酸、ドデカン二酸、安息香酸である請求項2に記載のすず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。
- 更に、(d)アミンカルボン酸又はヒドロキシカルボン酸及びそれらの塩の一種又は二種以上を含有する請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のすず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。
- 前記(d)アミンカルボン酸がニトリロトリ酢酸である請求項4に記載のすず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。
- 前記(d)ヒドロキシカルボン酸がグルコン酸である請求項4に記載のすず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。
- 更に、アルコール類、グリコール類、ケトン類、アルコールエーテル類又は界面活性剤の少なくとも一種を含有する請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のすず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。
- 前記すず合金が、銅、亜鉛、銀、インジウム、アンチモン、金、ビスマス、鉛から選ばれる金属の少なくとも一種とすずとの合金である請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のすず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。
- 前記すず又はすず合金がめっき皮膜である請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のすず又はすず合金表面の変色防止剤組成物。
